I use Secret and have for years and have never had a problem with it, it works great! I too got more sweaty after having children and haven't had a problem with it.
Hello- I am writing about something new_ I've never experienced before. I have worn the same deoderant for years and years. It's Dove unscented. As of lately, by mid day ( even if I am not sweating or working out) my deoderant doesnt' seem to work. It;s not that I am wet with sweat, but I seem to have a body odor. I have NEVER had body odor before and it's gross. Also, after I excercise, even if I wear this deoderant, I am really smelly. I feel the need to shower IMMEDIATELY. I would shower anyway, but It;s kind of gross. A little more info: As of the last 4 months, I have finally started working out-after having 3 babies in 4 years. I am running a few days a week. So I don't know if my sweat glands have changed? Does that happen? Anyone experience this or know of a good deoderant that is strong enough to last all day and even through a work out? SHould I talk to my dr. about this>
THanks
I use Secret and have for years and have never had a problem with it, it works great! I too got more sweaty after having children and haven't had a problem with it.
I SWEAR BY DRY IDEA !!!! The regular roll on is the best (Comes in scented or unscented - either is fine), not the gel or any other variation. I have been using it for close to 25 years, and it is awesome - good luck!
Never tried it,, but I've seen ads for clinical strength Secret (I think). Give it a try. Good luck! I'm pregnant and sweat so much at night I feel the same way!!! I'm not a sweater either and it's GROSS!!!
My husband uses a prescription anti-perspirant called Drysol. He only has to apply it about once a week and he does not sweat at all. He used to soak through his shirts and it was very embarrasing for him. He loves the Drysol and has been using it for years. It is not very expensive at all - he spends less on deodorant now than when he was buying the regular stuff because a small bottle of Drysol lasts a really long time. If you do choose to talk to your doctor about it, Drysol would be an option. Good luck!
I have had the exact same problem happen to me! I bought the Degree Clinical Strength and it is a godsend! I know that Secret makes one, too. They are a little on the pricy side ($8/bottle), but well worth it - a little goes a long way.
Hi, it's unfortunate but I've had this problem for over 10 years. Way before I had kids. I've even thought about Botox but I figure it will make me sweat more somewhere else. I've used RX deodorants, Secret Clinical but Dove is still my favorite. Here's the only thing that has helped me - I shave my armpits everyday and then wipe them with a cotton ball with rubbing alcohol on it. It stung a little at first but now it doesn't at all and it really helps a lot. I started doing it about a year ago and so far I haven't developed an "immunity" to this process and I still use my Dove deodorant.
Hope it helps you too!
Antiperspirant and Deodorant cover up the symptoms of an unhealthy body. Seems you may want to do a detox / body cleanse to rid toxins out of your body that are causing excessive smell.
Google around the internet or browse at whole foods to see what you might want to consider. You will feel great inside and out!
I also used to use Dove & it stopped working a couple years back. I now use Certain Dri & I love it! You put it on at night before going to bed & it works for up to 72 hours! Don't be alarmed about not putting it on after a morning shower. It will still work. I have had a few friends switch to this anti-perspirant as well & they love it! I beleive Certain Dri also makes an AM anti-perspirant as well.

Hi S.~
Have you thought about switching to a healthier deodorant? If you are interested in finding out more details, please give e-mail.
I use Mitchum unscented for men and it is wonderful. I am also just getting back into working out 3-4 times a week and this deordorant works great. I use the gel and never have problems with odors. It's not as expensive as the Secret clinical strength and is just as effective. Hope this helps!

Hi, I get that sometimes and it is THE WORST!!! I tried the secret clinical, and it is good, but I think the best is Certian Dry (i think) it is at Walgreens and it looks really generic, but it works! You put it on before bed (not after shaving!!!!) and you are dry all day long.
I know the feeling though, I hope that this helps!!
I know someone who was having a similar problem after having underarm laser hair removal. She really likes the prescription strength deodorant found at places like Target. I think there is a Secret brand. I have also heard that men's deodorant works really well because it is stronger.
Hi S.,
The same thing happened to me after kids. Your hormones change all kinds of things in your body once you have kids, it's really common & totally normal. I now use Axe deoderant & body spray. I know they say it's for men, but the Kilo scent is nice & is not to manly. It really works well.
It's funny because I just bought the same deoderant that you are using and I don't like at all. I was noticing that it wasn't working like others I've used in the past. I'm switching back to Secret! Good luck.
Hmm that's interesting the same thing has happened to me in the last three months or so. I changed to Dove after the Mennin Lady Speedstick stopped doing doing the trick. Dove isn't doing that well either. My thought is that it's the very beginning stages of menopause. I turned 45 in May and my period's acted funny twice in the past year. I'm thinking about switching brands again, and if I don't get a good result checking with the doctor. I have noticed that a second application mid-day has helped and I've tried those body sprays to stave off the bad scent in a pinch.
My husband had a similar problem. He didn't smell horribly, but some body areas still had a lingering BO smell even after he took a shower. Then I watched an Oprah episode where Dr. Oz was saying that body odor is caused by a bacteria. We switched to Dial anti- anti-bacterial soap and now he smells much better.
Hello S., you might want to switch deodorants. Sure unscented has worked pretty well for us here. Are you drinking more coffee than usual? That will have you give off a particular odor too. Try drinking at least half your body weight in ounces of water a day. Most people are very acidic. Strong body odor, along with strong urine odor too. Try and stay away from all sodas, (it eats your bones) If it continues, you may want to speak to your doctor about it. It could be an underlying sign of something else. S.
I recently have noticed the same thing. I was beginning to gross myself out and could not figure out the problem. I was even applying my deodorant/antiperspirant 2 times a day but it still did not help. Finally one day after swimming at the pool I took a shower at my mothers and "borrowed" hers. The next morning I still smelled fresh and felt clean! I have been using for the last 3 months now the Mitchum for Women in the fresh scent. It really has worked well for me and the price is not going to break the bank! lol
Good luck to you in finding something that works for you! Blessings to you and yours!
Try secret vanilla chai. I've had great luck with it!
I have been battling the same problem since starting menopause 3 years ago ! After trying almost every deodorant /anti persperent on the market a friend told me to try Mitchum for women gel, and I can say it is the answer, at last ! No more tears about it.
I ended up switching to Secret Platinum in the invisible solid and it is the only deodorant that works for me now. I swear by it!
Secret and reg Degree both stopped working for me so I went to Degree clinical and I love it. No sure why deodorants stop working.....but that's what worked for me!
I have always sweat a lot & had the odor problem!! My saving grace has been Secret Platinum w/ Oil of Olay skin conditioners. My skin is also sensitive, so a lot of the men's deodorants would give me rashes, but this seems to work very well! *(I was also a loyal Dove user until I became "immune" to it!!)
Okay, this happened to me a few years ago. I have always been a person who doesn't sweat much, and if I forgot deordorant, I really couldn't tell. Then, all of a sudden, my body seemed to have changed and I was smelling. I kept switching deordorants, and nothing was working. I was taking a few showers a day, and became really self-conscious. A friend of mine told me to use Secret Clinical. It cost a bit more (around $7), but worked much, much better. It must have something to do with body chemistry changing, or hormones, or something. It seems to have gotten better for me since the initial start. Good luck! H.
HI! I have this issue too where your deoderant stops working after a while. I know that some people mentioned certain dri, however, it may irritate your skin a little. I tried it and it was irritating when I put it on at night. I tried it for a few days. I know it does work for some people. So good luck if you try it.
I have found that sercret clinical strength is more effective. There are other brands that are coming out with their own versions too. Best of luck to you!
S.,
I have had such good luck with th Secret Clinical Strength deodorant. I would highly recommend trying this deodorant.
It is a little pricey, around $7. But well worth it.
Secret even has a Sport Fresh scent designed for Athletes.
Good luck,
J.
I went through the same thing after using Secret all my life. At first I tried switching brands, but that did not help. I did some research and found Apple Cider Vinegar. I tried it and it works! It does not smell bad on. I simply applied it with a cosmetic pad.
My thoughts as to why the deoderant stopped was maybe my pores were just clogged with whatever the chemicals were in the deoderant and my body just needed to de-tox. After about a year I went back to deoderant again and it is working for me.
Good luck - I know how awful and embarassing it is.

Hi S., I would recommend Secret Clinical Strength deodorant.
first time I tried it was when I was a bridesmaid and it worked great. Even the bride tried it and loved it.
good luck.

S., I havent read through all of the responses, but the same thing happened to me-out of no where after my last dd I was stinky ALL the time. My sil told me to switch deoderants b/c sometimes your body just gets used to using the same one. I am not sure where she heard it from or what, but she has a doctrate-I took her advice and now I am stink free! LOL :) I do still alternate between suave and another deoderant(cant remember the name for anything right now). Also, I kind of remember this happening to my mom and she had to get special stuff from the doctor(this was before I knew about switching). Good luck!!!
Maybe your hormones have changed? Has your diet changed? I have used Arrid Extra Dry clear gel for a few years now and have never had any issues with wetness or ordors. It isn't very expensive and it's worth a try.
I used to use Secret but that stopped working for me so I switched to Degree for women. I've been using that for several years and it seems to be working very well.
I think you just need to try a new brand or two and see if they work better for you.
I work out 6-7 days a week at a very high intensity and have found that the new "clinical" strength products work like a dream!! You apply at night before bed and it lasts all day the next day. I was skeptical, but absolutely love it. It does cost a little more, but well worth it. I am using the Sure brand right now because it was less expesnive and I also had a $2.50 off coupon. It is around $5.50 at Walmart. I have not smelled any body odor at all since I started using this!!
