I fee your pain! A simple solution is after nursing, pour a capfull of hydrogen peroxide over each nipple, allow to sizzle (vague sting, but it is cleaning it out) and then rinse w/ a capfull of water. Air dry or use a burst of the hairdyer. Then cover with "Bag Balm" found in the medicine section of Shaws in a green metal tin. (lanolin base but WAY better!!) My lactation conslt. gave me these tricks with my first baby after weeping over my sore/cracked nipples and I noticed a huge difference right away!! I am currently using the same trick with my 1-mo old and already healing. Hang in there--it will get better!! Also, you can pump on that side for a couple days to give your sore nipple a rest! Good luck!
