Help Planning a Birthday Party

Hi, My daughter's birthday is Nov.14th and she'll be turning three; I am trying to find a good location to have her party. The only guests at her party will be mostly adults but she has 3 cousins of ages 8, 10 and 12 who will be there. I am just having a hard time thinking of where to have a birthday party that will be fun for my daughter and her cousins, who are all boys. It's been suggested to have it at Chuck E. Cheese or Peter Piper Pizza and I really don't want to do that; I want something different and fun. I am looking for a place indoors since there's no telling what the weather will be like by then. Please any help that can be offered is greatly appreciated

What can I do next?

The Phoenix Zoo would be a great place to host an all ages Birthday party.

Hi J.!
I had my 3 year old daughter's party at Build A Bear. I sounds expensive, but it really wasn't! But I guess it really depends on how many kids you have coming. It ranges from $10 a kid to as high as you want. The kids have fun and get to go home with a bear! We had 8 kids total and a ten dollar off coupon for a party (ask for a coupon at build a bear, they'll give it to you). We allowed $15 a kid, so they got to make a bear and pick a shirt or item to go with it. It's kind of nice to have a party at a place and not have to pick up afterwards! :.) Hope this helps!

Hi J. - not sure if it's a convenient location for you, but there's an indoor mini golf place at 32nd St and Greenway. It's called Indoor Mini Golf Paradise. My kids had their birthday parties there this year and loved it :) The website is http://www.funindoor.com/a/minigolf. Good luck!

I was going to suggest the indoor mini golf place as well. My son had a birthday there and there was only one other family in the place at the time. It was really well planned and fun.

Try Pump it up in Scottsdale. It is SO much fun for the kids AND the adults! Everyone can jump and they give you pizza and cake and a little party in a room afterwards. Its all indoors.
Good Luck!

We just had my four yr old son's birthday at a bowling alley. He had so much fun! The adults all had a blast as well. They had cosmic bowling and there was also little game room. Good luck!

Bumper bowling is always fun...you could have two lanes one with a bumper and one without. Another idea is Cracker Jacks...the have indoor games for all ages plus a driving range, goofy golf, bumper cars etc...very fun for all ages. In Tempe there is an indoor wave pool at a place called Kiwanis Park and they have indoor and outdoor activities. Have fun!

I can't agree with you more about avoiding the pizza places. I've been to several kids parties at those locations and they would probably be a last resort for me. Honestly, I'd say an at home gathering might be easiest to plan and contain the kids. Just plan some games for the older kids to play so they don't get bored and antsy. If you're set on a public venue, a bowling party could be fun for all involved. If you want a primarily kid oriented party, Pump It Up has indoor bounce houses and slides. An ice or roller skating rink would be fun for the cousins but it would commit you to watching your 3 year old every second which is probably not ideal. Even though you mentioned a preference for an indoor venue, the Phoenix Zoo is also an option. I'm not sure if any of these are what you were looking for, but I hope they give you some helpful ideas. Parties for little kids can be tough. Best wishes! :)
