My two month baby got his first shots and now he has diarrhea what can I give him
I know a lot of doctors recommend Pedialyte to replace electrolytes that were lost. However, I've recently learned that coconut water has even more electrolytes that Pedialyte, has a lower sugar concentration, and is more hydrating.
There is not a lot you can give a 2 month old. 2 months is too young for infant Tylenol. Call his Dr. and make them aware, but there is nothing you can give him. Make sure he is wetting his diaper frequently and give some extra formula or breast milk for hydration.
First, I'd call the doctor to make sure that his reaction to the shots is within the normal range (maybe it is an allergic reaction?). There isn't anything you can do about the diarrhea. Make sure he's hydrated. He may need a little more breastmilk/formula, go by his cues. Diarrhea does cause the body to lose more fluid.
You NEED to ask the Pediatrician and tell the Doc, she has diarrhea.
Do not ever, just guess and give an infant something without checking with the Pediatrician first.
If breastfeeding, then make sure you are not eating anything irritating.
And since baby has diarrhea, nurse frequently so that baby does NOT get Dehydrated. Infants and babies, can get dehydrated, quickly. And that is dangerous.
But you would only know if baby is dehydrated IF you know the symptoms of dehydration in an infant.
CALL your Pediatrician.
You do not know, if it is related to the shot.
TAKE BABY TO THE PEDIATRICIAN.
nothing. call your dr. 2 month old babies can get very sick very fast.. if you are concerned go to the dr or er.
I would not give Tylenol for diarrhea.
Make sure he is drinking enough breast milk or formula.
Watch for signs of dehydration.
I'd definitely let the pediatrician know he has diarrhea!

Call his doctor ASAP. Find out what they want you to do. You may need to bring him back in or else they will be able to tell you how to treat/handle it. Two months is too little to decide on your own - it has to be the doctor's call.
Report the vaccine reaction, consider giving each shot separately from now on, and if you're nursing that's best for him with diarrhea. If not I'd ask the pediatrician.
Soy formula is constipating, so if you are doing formula or bottles and you want to you can give some to him. I had to find things to unstop my little one when she was on it. Its hard doing shots, but it'll be ok!
Just nurse him lots so he doesn't get dehydrated.
When my 4 month old went through a tummy virus, the doctor told me to keep giving her formula and if it was really bad, I could mix some pedialyte in with the formula so she didn't get too dehydrated. At 2 months though you should still call the doctor and let them know.
