Help with Getting Stains Out of Carpet

I have heard very good response about a 2-step product carried at Carpet Exchange. It has taken out grease that wouldn't come out. It was used by a housekeeping company, too.

I haven't tried it, but I hear windex gets stains out of carpet...but if you use too much then your carpet gets blue on it. What color is your carpet?

I'd use a hot steam cleaner on raspberries.

Sounds funny, but salt may do the trick on the raspberry stains. You just sprinkle salt liberally on the area, and scrub with a damp sponge. It works on quite a few types of stains, and the price is certainly right! Good luck!

I use a Bella Bar to get stains out of my carpet. They are only available through Scent-Sations Distributors, so if you know one I definitely recommend buying a bar. I have used it to get coffee (my son spilled a full cup) out of my carpet and now there is no sign it was ever there. Others have used it to get permanent marker out of the carpet. Good luck!

I had a strawberry issue just a few days ago. I don't know if strawberries are any different from raspberries as far as stains go, but one of my kids dumped out her bowl of half chewed strawberries on the stairs (almost white carpet). I can't even tell where it was now after cleaning it up. All I did was use Kids 'n Pets, which is what I always use for carpet stains, let it soak a few minutes like the bottle said, then scrubbed and blotted up. It's completely gone. I thought I was going to be left with red spots because red NEVER comes out. But they're gone. You can find Kids 'n Pets at Walmart, Target, or pretty much any grocery store. I highly recommend it. It's gotten out stains from my carpet that I thought would never come out. In fact, when the high traffic areas in my house start to look dirty before I clean it with my steam cleaner, I sometimes can see the spots where I've used Kids 'n Pets because they're still pretty clean! Can't hurt to try, right? And it's safe for kids and pets!

powdered oxiclean works in my house, My son when he was about a year, spelt some red coolaid on my carpet in a house we were renting, the carpet was white. About a day or two later, I got oxiclean, did as the bucket said, dumped some on the spot and you would have never known that coolaid was spelt there. I still use it in my house to this day. I wish you luck.

This has worked numerous times for me. It worked with blood and doggie messes from the rear end...

Use sparkling mineral water on spot, once water starts to fizz, vacuum up with shop vac. Do this a few times.
Next, take mixture of water and oxi clean and spray on carpet. Let sit for 5-30 minutes or so. Vacuum up again w/ shop vac. If stain is still there, you can leave the oxy clean on carpet over night.

my fav. product for carpet stains is the dual acting resolve, it is one bottle with 2 sides that squirt out, when they connect they foam. it has worked great for me on koolaid stains, paint. and just those dirt stains that show up because dirt hit water and came back up if that makes sense. anyway it's my product of choice for carpet stains

Have you tried peroxide? I have had tons of success with organic stains and peroxide. It takes blood out of fabric completely...

Another good thing to try is Woolite with Oxy Clean (it's for carpet).

weird but true remedies...
Windex works to an extent. My kids spilled some red drink powder on the sitter's carpet (she wasn't the sitter after that-she said the kids were supposed to be watching a movie, what were they doing upstairs. Uhhh...) It was cheap shag carpet so the Windex didn't work so well, but I've tried it on my apt-quality carpet & it's worked before. The carpet cleaner told me: spray ONLY the red stains w/Windex. Place clean white towels on top of the stain & iron over the towel on the highest heat setting (spot-test the ironing thing, you'd hate to melt the carpet!). I rubbed the Windex a little w/my fingers to agitate it a bit but not too much.
With the pink lemonade stain, I tried another trick. It was an old stain too-at least a year old. I poured (soaks it better than just spraying w/the steam cleaner) hot water on the stain & used my steam cleaner to suck it up as slowly as I could-the trick is to move slow so it sucks better. It took me a couple of days to suck all of the stain up-be careful not to go over the stain the same way over & over or it'll fray the carpet & you'll have to replace it anyway, and use the carpet brush rather than an upholstry tool.
For the grease-my darling boy just learned to make microwave popcorn. His bag didn't pop right so he ended up w/a bag of melted popcorn oil (of course I buy the really greasy stuff-he wouldn't spill the oil-free stuff!) & 3 kernels of popped corn. He brought me the bag to check out. Upside down & dripping oil of course. I looked online for tips & got "brake cleaner". I didn't have brake cleaner but I had engine degreaser. Two treatments of that, about a month apart got the old stain out. I'd tried tons of things-oxyclean, Dawn, carpet shampoo, hair shampoo-but the engine degreaser, me scrubbing it in gently w/a toothbrush & letting it sit for 20 mins, then sucking it up slowly w/the steamcleaner got it up. We cleared military housing w/o having to pay for any carpet.

I have a bottle of stuff that has gotten rid of most of our carpet stains.
It's 3 parts water, 1 part rubbing alcohol, and a squirt or two of dishwashing soap.
I just squirt liberally on the stain, scrub with a brush, blot with a towel, and vacuum.
I've never had to get raspberries out, but it's worked on tomatoes and kool-aid.
Works on laundry stains, too. Good luck!
