Does anyone have any wonderful tricks for getting the pink out of white shirts that were accidentally washed with a red shirt that bled??!!! I quickly rewashed them once I noticed what I had done...but it didn't really help. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!!

What can I do next?

If you have already run them through the dryer...the color may be set for life. Is it a fabric that can be bleached??? If so...try that. I think we need to know what kind of material it is before we can give you much more detailed suggestions

Soak them in Biz! I once washed all my sis-in-law's maternity clothes I was borrowing, and had nearly everything in one load, and had a maroon colored shirt in too on accident. Anyways, it gave nearly everything in the load pink stains all over. I soaked it all in Biz and it came clean. Soak it in Biz and then wash it again, and hopefully it'll work. Good luck!

Have you tried soaking in OxyClean? That might help. Also, if they are bleachable... you can bleach them. I have done that to a load of even UN-bleachables. I figured, we can't wear them like that... what would it hurt to put a little bleach in? If they stayed pink, I'd throw them away, and if the bleach ruined them... I'd throw them away, so why not try it. I only used about 1/2 what the bottle said to use and washed in a full washer of water. It all came out!

You can try washing them again with baking soda and or some table salt.

depending on how badly it is set in, soak the clothes in
bleach water or there is a solution out there called Rit
dye remover OR rewash items in HOT water with the bleach
or the rit. if the stuff is really pink it might take a
few soakings to remove it all.
good luck!

Good Morning S., The only thing I can think of right now (early yet) is to rewash with Oxyclean. Make a paste and rub it in, rub it in. :)) Keep rubbing until you can see it is gone.
We had pink Undies for a while when we first got married. Hubby did it NOT me...lol He has since learned but did wash a pair of my wool linen slacks ( dry clean only) a while back.

Anything you use rub rub rub. All else fails, sneak out and get a new white shirt....lol

Try bleach or OxyClean, before putting it in the dryer. I've done a million times. But I have found that the shout color sheets do work. You put them in with the wash, and they collect the dye that somes off in the water. They don't always work, but more often than not you don't have to rewash anything. Good luck!

If the shirts have not been dried use Rit Color Remover. My daughter's khaki work pants got washed with a red shop rag and had pink all over them. We used the Rit Color Remover on them and a white t-shirt and were amazed how it got all the pink out. I had previously used bleach and Oxiclean to get the pink out without much luck. Now I try to keep a package of the Rit Color Remover in the house for when the kids or hubby try to "help" me.

I have had this happen to me. I used Oxyclean, let it soak for a little while in that. I have also used bleach. If you have dried them, not sure, but what the heck worth trying either one.

Rit makes a color remover solution. You can usually find it with the Rit Dyes. It the items are solid white then it should work fine. If there is color on them you may want to try soaking them in Oxyclean overnight. Good luck and God Bless.

There is this stuff in the laundry detergent section at walmart that is supposed to take the red out. I dont know what its called but its over by the stain sticks and bleach pens. Hope this helps! I believe its just a tablet or something you pop in your wash with all the pink clothes.

Oxiclean!! It is the best stuff. Just put a scoop full in the kitchen sink along with your items. Let it soak for about 2 hours until it comes out..I have done this before. :-) Good luck!

Biz- the powder kind works great. Put it in the wash with cold water and let the clothes just soak for awhile. Make sure you don't dry them until all the pink is out or it won't come out. Hope this works!
