Hi ladies,
I'm writing this for avery good friend of mine who is trying to get preggers for the first time (sooooo excited). She has very high cholesterol & wants to hear from other women who have been in this situation. She is on lipitor I believe which is not "pregnancy friendly". Of any of you lovely ladies have gotten pregnant with high cholesterol & can let me know the options you had she would be very grateful.
Thanks so much!
-J.

J.-
Three yrs back my Dr wanted me on Lipitor - i had done too much research into statin drugs to be okay with that. I then looked into a product that a company my husband has been shopping from for over 14 years manufactures-
I was able to lower my numbers from 248 to 186 in 6 months taking a Natural Supplement from Melaleuca called Pythomega. It cost $20 per month (sometimes cheaper then Lipitor with co-pays) It not only helped with my numbers but it got me off my Wellburtin also. Melaleuca has changed my health and families health so much that I started a home-business with them - so far I have helped over 240 familes , feel better and save money. Have her read the side effects of Lipitor and then change her diet. It's possible to reverse high cholesterol in a matter of a few weeks by making dietary changes. Ideally these should be made by both parents BEFORE pregnancy in order to have a healthy baby.

If she'd like resources, she's welcome to email me: ____@____.com.

Dear MOM,

Perhaps you can help her get her cholesterol under control VIA DIET and excersize.

I Don't know of anyone whom was taking lipitor while pregnant.

I'm on Lipitor now for very high cholesterol (due to genetics and not diet). I didn't begin Lipitor until I was finished having my 4 children. There are warnings on my Lipitor bottle to not take it if you are pregnant or are trying to become pregnant. I'd suggest your friend speak with her doctor and decide on an approach that would work best for her and her future children so no one's at risk. Thanks for being a good friend and looking out for her!

Your friend should make an appointment and talk with her gyn. He/she will guide her along with her medications to make sure the baby isn't adversly harmed by anything she's taking.

Diet and excercise isn't always the solution since a lot of times genetics plays a huge role in your colesterol levels. That being said a good diet and excercise will help your friend with her overall health and well being in addition to making her labor and delivery easier.

Hi J.;

Good for you for being concerned about medication and pregnancy. As someone in the wellness industry, I can tell you it's so important to be in the best possible physical condition before even attempting to get pregnant. The baby will be growing on that environment.

I am a nutritional cleanse coach, and I work with many health-care practitioners who advise doing a cleanse to flush out the toxins and strengthen the body with nutrition. While the cleanse will not cure any pre-existing conditions, it will support your body to start to heal itself. And there is an added benefit of 7 to 15 lbs weight loss on the 30 day program.
