I am thinking about homeschooling my 2 little ones, and I was wondering if any of you know about a program that offers help in that. Anyone know where I can get information about it? Anyone homeschooled their toddler/s? Do you have any advise? Any response would be greatly appreciated.

What can I do next?

I am homeschooling my 4 year old through a wonderful program called Hippyusa.org. It's free and they come to your house each week with the lesson's, books, and supplies.

I've been homeschooling my toddlers for the past few years. I started when they were born kinda but then got more & more structured. This year, I've got them in public school but mainly cause its cheaper then daycare so they can be there while I'm at my college, then I work with them more in the evenings & on the weekends. I use a great online homeschooling group for any questions or concerns I might have pop up. the link to that is http://groups.yahoo.com/group/IndianaHomeschoolers/ if you want to take a look.
As for what some people say about kids needing socialization & unable to get it through homeschooling, that is so far from the truth in the homeschoolers' cases that I know of that its not even funny. I'm sure there are some cases where the children don't get the socialization that they need, but all the parents I know of make sure the kids get out & get interaction in society since that is the ultimate goal for socialization afterall. During our days, we might go to the petting zoo up the road from us that has camels, buffalo, llamas, and assorted farm animals and learn about health, science, agriculture through that visit. Or we might go to the grocery store & learn about math, problem solving skills, logic problem skills, & socialization skills in the stores we go to. We talk about why we take turns in stores, as we're driving,... to reinforce what we're teaching at home about manners.
If you ever want to talk or anything, just holler :) I generally check mail about once a day.

I don't know of anything that you are looking for, but I do have an opinion. Much of the idea of preschool is geared toward socialization. Yes, kids do learn a lot in preschool that you could very well teach them at home. However, what you can't give them is the experience of interacting with other kids their age. Dealing with social issues, kids of different backgrounds, and a small sense of independance is a big part of preschool. I have seen many kids who did not have preschool who are equal acedemically in kindergarten, but are way behind socially. Please really consider all of these factors before you make the decision final.

I homeschool my 4 YO and homeschooled my 8 YO from the start,, as well as pulled my two teeners out of school ( they weren't teens at the time) to homeschool. The best thing I have EVER gotten was the smart start series sold at Cosco. My friend who;'se a member of Sams Club also said they have the same serioes there, too. They cost me about $25.00 for the boxed set, but prices may vary from one store to the other. As soon as my DDs started getting bored with that program, I didn't give up. They knew there was a schedule that must be followed for lessons andI somply gave them a break.. For the first couple weeks it was like beating a dead horse, then in both of the younger ones heads, it... just... CLICKED !.. They started sounding out letters and making small words, and such.. I also bought supplimental things, like scrabble jr., ( they could do "at, and, ant, any" etc... and my 4 YO is writing her full name and address, knowing what she's writing, and starting to read small, easy books.. I'm a firm believer in your get out what you put in to it with homeschooling. I even buy things for all 4 kids homeschooling everywhere I go. I am a member of freecycle, a yahoo group where I've gotten their violins, lesson plans, old text books, micro and tele scope, I go to yard sales, etc.. keep an open mind on everything.. There's NO limit to a childs mind.. Good luck with this and I hope this helped you.
God bless,
A.
