I've just started using The Maids cleaning service. They are very expensive but very thorough. I don't have any other help with the kids or laundry, so I'm indulging myself with really good housecare. I'm using them once a week through the summer and paying $140. for a 2 story, 2500 SF home. In the fall, I plan to go to every other week or possibly just find an individual.

What I like about this service is, they will "catch me up" with the details - cleaning stove and oven, cabinet fronts, doors, vacuuming upholstery and ceilings...all the things that make my home feel really clean that I don't have time for!

I have a house that's two stories, 2200 square feet. we have a large double shower in the master bedroom (hard to clean). we have one child, one on the way and a large dog that sheds (lots of dog hair to clean). I have a lady that cleans every other week. I pay her $100 each time. if I hired her for every week, she said she'd charge me $80 each time. she changes our sheets and does some laundry while she's here. I prefer that she doesn't launder our clothes, I'm pretty particular about that stuff! but it's nice that she launders what she does. the house is 3 bedrooms, 2 1/2 baths. she's here from 9am until 2pm, although I'm not here to make certain, she always takes the 5 hours to clean, it's not ever a shorter day. hope that helps give you an idea of what to expect!

We have a cleaning crew that cleans my two bedroom apartmemt for $45 each week and my son's house, 4 bedroom, 3 bath, 2400 sq.ft. cleans for $65 each week. They have two children. There is usually 3 or 4 cleaing and they are out of your way in a couple of hours. This is a family and they are very dependable and trustworthy. They do anything you want them to do. They have never missed a cleaning day in two years and they have good transportation.
