How Do You Get Dried Play-Doh Out of the Rug?

NONONONO rubbing alcohol!!!! Nothing liquid or it makes it kind of melt into the carpet making it harder to remove. Pick out what you can and let the rest dry completely. Once that's done take a dry scrub brush and scrub to loosen the stuck play doh. Vacuum to remove it. You may have to scrub a couple times to get everything out. I've had this happen a couple times because no matter how well you think you've cleaned up there's always that bright pink part you've missed that ends up in the middle of your rug.

DO NOT USE ANY LIQUIDS WHILE CLEANING UP PLAY DOH.

Playdough has some wheat in it - getting it wet is like mushing wet bread into your carpet.
You want it as dry as possible so it crumbles - brush it with a stiff brush and vacuum it up.
Put a fan on any remainder to dry it and repeat till it's gone.

If it's any consolation - it's a lot easier to remove than Silly Putty!

You let it dry till it's crumbly, then take a really stiff brush (even like a nail brush) and brush it out.

If there's a stain there, I would use cold water bit of soap, and keep blotting that with a piece of paper towel to take the color out of the stain.

I haven't had to do this. I know that when Play-Doh completely dries out, that it tends to crumble, so I'd think you would be able to pick it out and then vacuum.

I'm guessing what you mean is getting the leftover color out of a rug or carpet, right?
In that case, I would contact the company that manufactures Play-Doh and see what they suggest.

You could also contact the manufacturer of the rug to see what they might suggest given the fabric and colors of your particular rug.
