How Many Hours of Sleep You Get?

I normally sleep 7 or 8 and I am at my best.
If I pass more then 9 I actually feel even more tired.
I could function with 5 hours of sleep if it is every once in a while, if I do often I get very cranky.
Then there were the 3 hours sleeps (when my kids were new born), I have no idea how I was able to function on those days, lol.

What can I do next?

6-7 The older I get, the less I need. Or maybe the older I get, the less I'm able to sleep. Or, after 4 kids, I don't know when I'm tired anymore.

Not enough!!! :p Right now i have a 8 month old so I'm lucky if I get 2 or 3 hours straight at night at increments and I'm still able to function taking care of him and his older brother. But before he came, I think I slept at least 6 or 7 hours at night. Oh how I miss those days.

Over the last week...Probably 2-3 hours a night, If I'm lucky.
My 8month old is teething pretty bad.
Also she doesn't want to sleep in her bed. She wants me to hold her on in the rocking chair while She sleeps.
Its pretty frustrating.
Once we move into our new house, it won't be a problem though :)

For me it depends on how I am sleeping. Most of the time I have to pee every hour on the hour. On those nights I need at least 6-8 hours to feel like I slept. Sometimes I get blessed with 2 hour intervals. On those nights I tend to feel rested between 5 and 6 hours. 3 hours sucks no matter what but I've done them a LOT through the years. If something wakes me up too often I can't sleep anymore. About once or twice per year I'll be so tired and my bladder won't be bothering me and I'll sleep for 4 hours. I've woke up feeling fantastic and ready for the day.

7-8 these days, closer to 7. It's odd, I need less sleep now (age 42) than I used to. My body just wakes up about the 7 hour mark.

Usually about 6 1/2. I've found that I sleep less now that I'm a little older (43), probably an hour less than just a couple of years ago.

Not enough. LOL

I do best with around 7.5 - 8 hours. I tend to run myself slightly sleep deprived during the week (which slowly accumulates as the week wears on).. I often only get about 6.5 to 7 hours per night during the week. So by Friday night, I am running a 2-3 hour sleep deficit. I try to make up for it on Friday night/Saturday morning, but then I wake up with puffy eyes Sat & Sun mornings, from sleeping so long.
Terrible habit, I know. But my husband works weird hours, and I like to see him at least for a moment before I go to sleep... and some nights he doesn't get home until almost 11:30 pm. But I still have to get up at 6:30 in the morning to get the kids ready for school. :/

I just to joke that if sleeping were an olympic sport, I would be a gold medalist! On weeknights, I get about 7.5-8 hours.

If I had my druthers, I would get about 11 hours on weekends - 10pm-9am would be awesome! That hasn't happened in a good long time, but my wonderful husband did let me sleep about 10 hours this past Saturday night, and it was great.

I never ever think of sleep as "wasted time." I love love love sleeping. : )

Since I've started the graveyard shift 3 months ago... I'm lucky if I can get a very interrupted 5-6 hours. I'm exhausted constantly AND 6.5 months pregnant.

I generally function well at 7-8 hours, but haven't been able to have that schedule since I became a working Mom.

Between 7-9. Depends on when I feel like going to bed. The longer I sleep the harder it is for me to wake up for some reason.

Not enough!!! We go to bed around 9:30 and are up at 4. But...with a baby that still doesn't sleep through the night I am up at least 2 times for around 30 minutes each so that's about 5.5 hours right now.

8 hrs makes me feel best.
6-7 hrs leaves me feeling groggy or short tempered.
9 or longer stresses my bladder - I end up making a dash for the bathroom.
As I get older it gets harder to fall or stay asleep.
Melotonin and valarian helps me most of the time but I still get an occasional sleepless night a few times a year.
My husband has started automatically waking up at 3 am then sometimes has trouble getting back to sleep. He's a grouchy bear if he doesn't get enough sleep.
In college I could sleep short all week then make up for it on the week ends but now I find I'm less flexible in my sleep patterns.
I need to keep to the same bedtime on the weekends as I do during the week.
