Over the counter meds can react with other medications.
I'd be very careful.
Not everyone goes on Zoloft forever.
In many cases 6 months to a year is enough and by then your brain chemistry has achieved a new balance and you don't need the medication anymore.
It depends on why your chemistry is out of kilter in the first place.
Have your thyroid levels (TSH, free T3 and T4) been tested?
Erratic moods (nervous, antsy, on edge) can be a sign of hyperthyroidism.
If it is something like that, then the condition causing the symptom has to be addressed otherwise Zoloft (or anything over the counter) will not help much and you will be taking it forever.
