My son will be 1 Aug. 10th. People always say he looks big for his age. His doctor says he is fine but I wanted to know how much others feed their 1 year olds. I know it may vary but any idea would be great! Thanks! :)

If your pedi says your child is a good weight, then I would not worry about it as long as you are feeding healthy options and he is active. My child is also a little "big", but she is tall so she is going to weigh more than other kids. I think kids vary on how much they eat. Mine is a very healthy eater, I try to feed her balanced meals. When she still seems hungry I will give her some extra fruit, or a healthy option rather than extra starch or carbs.
As far as what she eats, she will eat it all! Pasta, turkey dogs, fish sticks, veggie burgers, grapes, bananas, peaches, broccoli, carrots, bread, waffles, I could go on and on! She pretty much eats what we eat.
I usually try to feed my 13 mo what we eat to 1) save time 2) introduce her to many textures 3) get her used to what we eat so as she gets older, she doesn't get used to me preparing a separate meal for her.
She likes tofu, avocado, pasta w/butter and cut-up turkey meatballs, veggie burgers, turkey sausage, cottage cheese, hamburgers, fish sticks...
For breakfast I'll give her frozen waffles, pancakes, or I'll fry up an egg (learned the hard way that scrambled eggs are NOT a good idea - she ended up wearing most of it). I'll also send her to day care with baby yogurt or a banana for snacks. The jarred Gerber chicken or meat sticks are a quick and easy snack full of protein.
As far as amount, I give keep giving her food until she's full - I can tell she full when she either starts playing with it or throws food on the floor for the dogs :).
Good luck.
Funny, the request right before yours was the same question!

Also, portion sizes for a one-yr-old aren't much usually. Maybe 2 tablespoons of each thing (unless mac n cheese is involved....they could eat their weight in that stuff!). But that might look like 2 or 3 broccoli florets, 2 or 3 spoonfulls of green beans, a slice of cheese, a half slice of bread, a slice of lunch meat, one quarter or a 1/2 of a PB & J sandwich, 1/2 cup of pasta, one meatball...
When my kids were this age is when we started stocking ziploc snack bags and very small reusable containers (rubbermaid, take 'n' toss, etc.). Even the tiniest bit of leftovers could be lunch for a toddler, and it was a handy way to divide and store kid meals for freezing, on-the-go eating, etc.
