My husband was looking into it also. We received an estimate of about $4,000. Our insurance was only to going cover about $500 of that,so he decided against the implant. Good luck.

The dental office I work for works with Dr. Noruzi in
Geneva, and he is terrific. He teaches at U of I dental school, and works with implant companies to teach other dentists how to do them. It runs @ 3000 from start to finish, and takes about 3 months. Be sure that you understand all the fees-the implant crown is @ 1000 because of all the parts that are needed, in addition to the implant fee, which can ____@____.com, ask, and ask again about what the total will be. Many of the patients we work with don't understand that there will be fees from both offices, even though they get a written treatment plan from both of us.
Although it is costly, and time consuming, EVERYONE has been glad that they have done it.

Good Luck!!

I would check with your insurance because most don't cover implants because they are considered cosmetic. my husband had one on his front tooth and it was about 5K.Dr Ian Elloitt is excellent ###-###-####.If you don't get an implant you will need a bridge. If it's in the front I would get the implant because the bridge eventually kills the teeth on either side resulting in a bbigger bridge.

Ahhhhh....I'm going through the implant process right now. Mine is $3000. Big cost, but I asked for a discount if I paid it all up front, so I got $200 off, plus the dentist is bleaching my teeth for only $100 since he already has to do so much of the same work. Payment plans are optional too, I had been saving because I kept getting infections, and knew it had to be done.
If you need a good guy in the Gurnee area, let me know! Mine met with me and discussed costs before I made the final decision.
Good luck!

Hi Marion,

My husband had two implants. We joined a plan called "Resource 1." This plan provides implants at 1/2 the price from dentists in the plan. The cost to join is $150. Check out their website. I don't remember it, you might have to search a little. All in all we were happy with this and it saved us $5000. The total cost of his two implants and 3 crowns was about $5500.

Be careful with your insurance company. Ours told us on the phone that they would cover the crowns placed on the implants. I spoke with them several times and everyone reassurred me of this. When I submitted the claim, they denied it saying that my husband could have just gotten dentures. They said that they would not honor anything that was said in the phone conversations. So, what I am trying to say is, get everything in writing from your insurance company before committing to implants.

Please let me know if you need any more info and I can track it down for you.

Good Luck!

Some insurance plans do cover part of an implant. It can range anywhere from $1900 up to $5000 or more. It all depends on where the tooth is. Also, what materials teh crown is made from. An implant is really a post and a crown in place of a tooth. Check with your insurance frist to see what parts they cover.

My aunt is in the same situation, but being much older she found out that if you get dentures after time your gums receed. She has several friends this happend to. She is going for the implants.

My aunt told me she is going to save 80% on her dental bill by going to a Dental school to get all the work done.

There is a Dental school in Downers Grove.

My mother had a partial and after a year, it started to hurt. She could not use it to eat with.

I hope I helped. Also both my cousin and one my friends work for Dentists and they both said to shop around. The school will be most money saver and careful.

Good luck!
