We are having a 14 year old babysitter come over, any advice on what to pay her for watching our 10 month old?
hi- this was a few years ago in Californa too. i used to babysit all the time and i would get between 5 and 10 bucks an hour. i wouldnt go any lower than $5, but that me. enjoy your time away!

Teenagers- $5-$8 a hour depending on experiance and how well you like them. If you want addnt'l things done like laundry, clean bathrooms etc. ask if she wants to make some extra money on the side I was offered that alot as a teen and usually did it when the kids were napping.
$10 is excessive (for one child) for a 14 year old. I think $5 is plenty. If you are impressed with her and she babysits again and you want to pay her more than that is up to you. Good luck!
