I've used hydrogen peroxide to get other kid stains out of my carpet...needed scrubbing, but it worked!
My wonderful son took a large green crayon and drew a line, on the floor, all the way down the hallway. Any ideas or suggestions for cleaning it? I tried Resolve in a small area, but I don't think it's getting it all out.

It sounds funny but, W-D 40 gets crayon out of everything even walls and clothes but then you need a good oil type spot cleaner to get it out good luck.
Use a product called "Holy Cow" (Pink bottle) get it at Bed BAth and Beyond - it's fantastic!!
I have a Maid service here in the West Valley and use this for so many things
I also teach Art and recently used this for Acrylic Paint on the schools carpet - oh my gosh got it right up!
Good Luck

If your talking carpeting don't try anything else until you try using a warm iron. I'm not exactly sure but my husband of all people dragged a crayon under the ottoman all the way across our family room carpet. And when the guys came to clean it they said the only thing that gets crayon out is to use the warm iron. Try doing a google search. But the basics are to put down a towel and iron over the towel with the hopes of getting the product to stick to the towel. Once you have done that then you can use other cleaning products. From what they told me, if you try other things first and they don't work it will just grind it in more. And since I didn't know this at the time, I used spot shot, which didn't work and my crayon stain is still there (2 years later). My guess is that if you are talking tile, I would go with the magic eraser. It is great for taking things like that off tile. Good luck!
I know this sounds crazy but i use baby wipes for just about everything that has a stain, no matter what it is. With a bit of rubbing it should come out. My friend got stain on her blouse from her pen and when she came to see me on her way home from work she was near to tears as it was an expensive blouse. I used the baby wipes on it and it went. It also worked on a lipstick stain on my furniture when my neices were playing make up.
Good luck.

Truly, the Mr. Clean Magic erasers are amazing. I haven’t found anything that it won't take care of. The generic brands don't work as well. And I like the original one. They make some that have soap and other special things but the original, name brand one is the best one! Good Luck

A while back we had crayon on our light colored carpet too. We tried about everything...then we checked the crayola website. They said to use WD-40. It all came out. Check out the website, its been a while, but I believe it's www.crayola.com. Good luck.
LOL... same thing happened to our game room a couple days ago because of my 3 yo son.
I used resolve & it barely got anything up. Grif even laid down on top of it because he really liked how it looked and didn't want me to touch it. I need new magic erasers to try and erase it. I'm also out of baby wipes (well, I have a few cheap ones). I'll have to try one of these methods out.
I have used this trick to get wax from candles off of carpet and tablecloths, so since crayon is made up of wax...I think it will work.
Heat up your iron and get an old towel. Place the towel on top of the carpet where crayon is and put iron on top of towel. The heat will cause the wax to absorb into the towel. Keep repeating in a different area of the towel each time until crayon is out of carpet.
Good luck,
