Anyone know of a way to find who the builder was for a 10 year old house? Thinking there may be a website or something you can pull this sort of info from. It is a foreclosure so no one seems to have this sort of info.

The quickest way to find it is to go to the county recorders office and look through the public records for that property. It should be in there. A title company can pull that information to but it will cost more. Obtaining the public records should be pretty cheap.
A title company can pull ownership records. Most will do this sort of thing for free.

Depending on your locality you may be able to find this on the internet. Go to the local government website and search the tax records. It usually has all the owners listed and most often the builder is the first owner. Additionally, if it is in a subdivision where one builder did most or all of the houses that should be evident as well. Often Realtors for the local area will remember who built in a particular subdivision. Usually "new construction" Realtors specialize and folks know who they are - so if you call a large real estate agency in the area they may just remember since it hasn't been that long ago. You didn't say why you were looking for the builder. From my personal experience, once we found the builder he refused to talk to us, period!
When we bought our house 9 years ago we found that we had some foundation issues. We knew and tried to explain that it had nothing to do with the build we just wanted original floor plans and to ask if he had by chance put in piers (we're on a hill) that had shifted.
We love this house and it actually is built very well, but when we bought it 9 years ago it was 12 years old. In my opinion, most homes at the age of 10 or so are going to start having issues unless they were maintained very well. If the one you are looking at is in foreclosure I would be willing to bet there are going to be issues.
And the suggestion from one of the posters about generally one builder does most if not all in certain subdivisions/area is true. But of course with our first home in Olathe, we happened to buy the one new home in the subdivision that the developer allowed someone else to build. And our current house, again almost all the homes were build by by the developer or his son with the exception of a handful. Ours is one of the handful.
