Ok like a crazy mom I compelely forgot to bring a bag of crayons that my son gave me before school this morning. Well they were sitting on my passenger seat and when I went to move them out of the car it started to leak since there was a small hole in the bag and the crayons melted from being in the sun. Now I have a streak of orange and yellow on my seat and no clue on how to get it out. I have tried a spot remover spray but I don't think that is really gonna work. So if any of you moms have any idea/suggestions that would be great!!!!!!

In my "Magic Brands" book it has the following suggestions:
1. heat the crayon with a blowdryer and dab up with paper towels.
if that doesn't work completely then :
2. spray with WD-40, wait a few minutes and wipe.
3. paste toothpaste (not gel)
4. baking soda

I've tried this with melted candle wax on carpet, and it worked:
Make sure that the wax has cooled completely first, then get a brown paper bag (like they give out in the grocery store), and an iron. Set the iron to a low heat setting and place the paper bag on top of the wax. Then slowly rub the iron over the paper bag. It will draw the wax into the paper and hopefully remove most of the crayon. Crayons tend to be a little greasy, so I'd try Dawn dishwashing soap on any that remained on the seat. I hope this helps!! Good luck.
Years ago a co-worker's dd left crayons in the car that melted. Another co-worker's DH owned a body shop. He gave her something to get the crayon out. Call a body shop or place that details cars and see what they recommend.
Use a warm iron on top of newspaper (or white paper) to lift the oily wax stain out. I am not sure this will pull the color out though. (I love oxyclean for that job.)

Jen W.'s anwswer was mine, and it works!
I was unsuccessful getting it out. Finally, I took my car to the car dealer who dyed my seat so it was almost unnoticeable. My advice though is to get a new car with leather seats;)

I had the same thing happen to me a couple of years ago but with a green crayon. I tried the iron and a bag thing and while it got the wax off, the green stain was still there. I tried goo b gone and oxy-clean and those didn't work either. The stain is still there.
