Hello Moms,

I have a very happy and content 2.5 year old girl. She follow all directions and is pretty vocal. However when it comes to brushing she will have all sorts of 'other work'. Whoever has brush she will hop to other parents. If we give brush to her, she will eat her toothpaste and is done...

We also tried so we brush each others teeth..she wont do that either.. I cannot even get 30 secs of brush rest aside the 2.5 mins.

Please advise what has worked so I can go that route..Thank You MOMS

definate yes on the spin brush......let her choose and then put her in front of a mirror so that she can see what she is doing..it makes them brush longer. then when she is done tell you you want to do it so you can see what good work she has done. while brushing her teeth make sure you give lots of praise on how good a job she did and how white and sparkly they are! good luck

get the mechanical brushes. the spin ones. they vibrate and it makes it fun for my son. they are only like 5-7 dollars and you can use rechargable batteries

You won't get 2.5 minutes out of even the most compliant toddler!

For months, we just had to hold my daughter down and scrub. Now at 2, she knows she doesn't get her princess vitamins unless we get her teeth brushed so she opens up.

As far as time goes, we're lucky to get a minute at a time. We compensate by brushing 4 times a day instead of 2.

Ditto on the spin brush!!! They think it is funny the way it tickles their gums.

Bet Battery ran brush and let her choose which one she would like to use. Also get some kids toothpaste with the good flavor. Our son always like bubble gum.
There was never any choice in our house. This was just part of our nightly routine. He always wanted to do it himself first and then he let me our his dad finish up.

Good Luck
