Hi there, well my hubby was in the mortgage industry and that has crashed. Then he switched to the car industry and worked for Lexus and now that has crashed due to the hurrican in Japan they are not getting anymore cars for about 3 months leaving his saling potentional skim since there are not that many cars to sell. I am a stay at home mom but would be more than willing to get out and do some work while he stays home and tends to the kids until things get back to picking up.

My previous expience has been administrative everything you can think of. So how do I get myself out there to help people around me like shopping, errands, cleaning their house, cars, picking up kids or anything to help bring in extra money while we make it through this rut. I just moved here a year ago so how to I get myself marketed to do many things or even administrative stuff from home like typing, research, calling, anything......I just don' t know anyone but want to get active asap so hubby can stay home and I can go in combat mode for my family lol!

Craigslist. Put an ad out there listing your services and fees and see if anyone calls!

Flyers on local bulletin boards might be a good way to market admin. services. If you are open to a home based business, please be in touch. This gets you out plenty, but you do run it from home. Good luck and I hope I can help.

I have been VERY blessed with my Mary Kay business. The company's offering an incredible sign-in savings this month only. If you're interested in hearing more, let me know.

Hi there.
I own 4 franchises on the internet. I love it. I manage it from home but do get out to meet folks so it's a great balance.

Hi J.,
I have to work from home because my husband is disabled. I also have two children that we homeschool. So it is tough.

What I did was make flyers listing my services and going to a local Business Fair. There happened to be one in my subdivision (which I know was God) and boom I landed my first job and it for about 2 years and it really helped since we were new to AZ.

The job I have now I found on Craig's list. It is working for a Real Estate Office from home. You just have to be diligent and look on Craig's List under employment every day. Because they go quick especially the Part Time ones which is what I was looking for. Google Part Time jobs in Gilbert you will be surprised the various sites that could help you. Although I'm not sure if Part Time is what exactly your looking for if not, you will have even more of an opportunity because your not limited to Part Time and you live in a much better area to find work than I do. I live in San Tan Valley and it might as well be Mars!

But make up a professional flyer (mine was half the size of an 8 1/2 X11 so I could copy 2 on one and save more. It ended up looking more professional than just a flyer) and get yourself out there and put them on people's doors, cars, even local businesses if you can not find a Business Expo like I did. I would of eventually did that but I got a job right away and had a lot of people interested when I met them. Dress professional when you hand them out too. You know what they say "First Impression Last Impression".

Hope this helps and God Bless your Venture,

A.

IF... in order for people/parents to 'trust' your services that may have to do with their children/care/transport of them/babysitting... you will need to be background checked and have liability insurance and/or have CPR training and/or First Aide certification.
That is what most parents expect, of child care givers.
And that you be licensed for it.
Unless, you have friends, that need a Sitter or Nanny.

You can do dog care, Tutoring, working at a school or retail or night shift work too.

Or, get a job via a Temp Agency.
This often leads to permanent positions, as well.

Or, market yourself to schools, per Tutoring.
Or a Personal Assistant type work.

No matter what, make a resume.

Your Husband, can as well, get a part-time job. A 2nd job.
