How to Tell Husband We Are Pregnant?

Ok, so this will be our 4th baby...and I want to tell him, in a unique way, that we are pregnant. I don't want to just blurt it out. I did buy a shirt that say Dad to the 4th power, so it could involve that? I was thinking to put it in the laundry, since he folds most it, after I've washed all of it. ;) Any better ideas?

Here's what the shirt looks like....

Help! PS We own our own business and work together, if that helps?

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Well, for all the sane responses....thank you.

I ended up putting the shirt in the laundry, when he lifted it up, he looked at it and then looked at me and asked, "Is this a mistake?"

I laughed and replied, "Nope." He looked again at the shirt and at me and said, "Are you serious? Are you joking? I want to see the test." I, laughingly replied, "I'm not 15 trying to trap my boyfriend you idiot!" He was in shock for most of the day and kept kissing me, but he's thrilled. We are thrilled and nobody else even knows yet...except you all. Our parents and children will find out on Grandparents Day this month.

Congratulations!

I actually like your idea of finding the shirt in the laundry while he folds.
Question is: is he going to notice the "new" shirt when he folds it.

My husband is pretty perceptive, but when folding a load I doubt that he would notice it, thinking it was just another shirt to fold.

Maybe figure out a way to get the other 3 kids involved, if their old enough, to share the surprise together. Have them each were shirts with one word on it, including you: MOM IS PREGNANT AGAIN! You can have the word pregnant on your shirt and come out last. Then present him with his shirt!
I know that's kinda silly.... But this way everyone can have fun and be involved in sharing the good news!

Good luck with your pregnancy and have fun with it! :-))

Hi J.,
What I did was I put a few pop songs with the word "baby" on a cassette and went to his place of work and asked for him to come outside where I was waiting. I had the music playing as we were talking and when he didn't catch, I dismissed myself to the bathroom and returned with the pregnancy test taped to my forehead. I suppose it's kind of corny, but he has always remembered how I wanted to make it special for him to hear this wonderful news. With you both working together, it makes it sort of easier and you have a realm of possibilities. Some of the songs I picked were Ooh Baby Baby (oldie but goodie, Linda Ronstadt or Smoky Robinson), Baby Baby by Amy Grant......you can find more current music but I can't name any off hand at the moment. Best wishes for your new miracle coming and your family!

I always like the idea of wrapping the pregnancy test in a gift box and having him open it as a gift. You could write # 4 on the test in permanent marker and maybe (secretly) video tape his reaction so you can have the memory forever! Good luck and congratulations!!

That is the coolest thing I have ever seen! I love your idea of putting it in the laundry! Put a video camera in there where he can't see it so you can tape his reaction :)

My Dear J.,
How can you go on like this. In today's world two children are enough. More than that will be -----. I can say because in olden times it was more the merrier. We are seven siblings, but today we can't even dream of it. You will have problems later in life. Its okay now but please plan now, it is already so late think about your health.

Love
P.
