I just found out I am pregnant with child #2 and I am very excited. I am about 5 weeks. I have noticed that this time round I feel like I am full and my clothes are not fitting the same around the belly. Is it to early to be feeling like this? How was your second pregnancy different from your first?

What can I do next?

I was in maternity clothes by 10 weeks of my 2nd pregnancy. I think it took over 20 weeks the first time. Other than that I actually felt so much better the second time around. I was almost worried - I felt so good. Hopefully that'll be you :)

you do grow larger earlier on with the second. often times, second pregnancies are a little easier for many (mine was) but not always!! many symptoms you had last time may not appear, and you may have all new symptoms... each pregnancy is truly different. congrats!

I showed sooner, had different cravings, was less tired and my morning sickness was not as bad. I also was more susceptible to food poisoning the second time around. Good luck in your pregnancy.

Well there is the obvious difference of being pregnant while chasing around a toddler. I'm 39wks and have a 2y/o. So that has definitely played a rolled in the difference.
other than that...I noticed I got "bigger" sooner. I've had more pain, but that again can be attributed to chasing my 2y/o around.

Otherwise this pregnancy seems to be pretty similar to my first.

All three of mine were completely different from each other in many ways, I definately had the "each pregnancy is different" life...lol I had a girl, boy then girl. The girls had the most things feel similar but were still different in many, many ways. Definately started feeling and showing early with each

Each pregnancy is different.
My pregnancy showed MUCH sooner, than my first.
That is typical.

You definitely show earlier after the first, but as far as my symptoms, etc., my second was EXACTLY like my first. Everyone was sure it was going to be a boy again because of that (except the once person that said I was carrying different), and it was a girl. I know many who had totally different pregnancies and ended up with the same gender. All pregnancies are different, but your body is more aware of many of the feelings, so many people say that they felt the baby move earlier, etc. because they know what they were feeling for. Congratulations.

I, too, felt very pregnant with my second. I also ate like a pig with my second. Scarfing down whole boxes of chocolates each day. Yikes! LOL... thank God I didn't gain too much weight... but my 2nd child sure does love chocolate!!

Congratulations!!!
I dont think its too early too be feeling like that, I actually think its quite normal.
With my first I found out I was pregnant until 16 weeks!! I didnt even miss my period!, no symptoms only cravings, everything was super smooth until his birth, with this one, I've had nausea, cravings, faintings, everything, I got diabetes, and my belly is just like a humongous basketball in front of me, my husband says I look like a toothpick with an olive (I am petite), in my case both have been completely different.

First time: my appetite stayed normal. Not extra hungry but I did have a few sweet cravings that I tried to stifle. My tummy hurt from the stretching as did my breasts. I gained water weight in my ankles toward the end. I had 15 lbs of water loss when my water broke (before I went to the hospital). I gained a half a shoe size. I returned to a nice weight and shape without exercising. I didn't show until I was almost 6 months along.

Second time: My appetite was BIG. I found myself eating everyone's leftovers after they returned to the living room. I noticed a little tummy at the first sign of pregnancy (2nd month). I didn't lose weight so easily. When I turned 42, seemed like the muscle there that supported everything disappeared and I had muffin top for the first time that didn't go away until I got a tummy tuck. No cravings except I had a bottomless pit (ha).

With my first, I felt fine but I needed to eat fresh fruit ALL THE TIME!

With my second, I was nauseous the entire nine months... until the little stinker was born! I ended up losing about 20 pounds just because I couldn't figure out when and what to eat to not feel sick. But I was definitely bigger with him.

With my third (who should be here in a few weeks... if not sooner), I get bigger much faster, feel more emotional, and have swollen feet (which I never had before). This one is a girl. The other two were boys.

From what I hear, they're all different. My pregnancy experiences are letting me know that it's true!

First off, congratulations.

I actually had the opposite problem. I gained weight early but stayed there for a long time. I wasn't as tired during the first trimester, but our son was 15 months when I got pregnant, and it might not have been an option.

Mine was easier until around month 6. Then, I started having bad hip pain. I was miserable at the end and wanted the baby out quickly. She was a slightly bigger baby but was positioned much differently and was much more active than her brother had been.

Good luck - some women love being pregnant. I don't mind it, but #2 was just "different' from #1 for me.

I threw up much more =) no seriously, i did.

A Lot was the same but I didn't freak out over small stuff as much. A lot less calls to the doctor. Istarted showing sooner. And I didn't lose the weight like i did the first time. But I definately breastfed longer to get it off!! woo hoo!! Good Luck!
