So, I actually get a date with my husband in 3 weeks and we are both very excited because this only happens 2 or 3 times a year. But, we've totally forgotten what "adult" do at night. lol We're not much into the bar scene and we think movie theaters are way overpriced. Any suggestions on things to do? We would be interested in something like a jazz bar type thing. Anyone in the LaCrosse, WI area know of anything like that? Thanks, mommas!
Look in the entertainment section of the newspaper for jazz music. You may get other ideas there too.
Call the visitor center in your area and pretend like you are a tourist and ask them for advice on fun things to do in the area.

My husband and I just had a date night last night! It was awesome :) We went to a swanky restaurant, ate a highly over priced meal, we had a few drinks and just hung out. It was nice because we got to get dressed up, which we never do, and just be together. I am an avid user of Groupon and Restaurants.com to find really good deals from expensive restaurants. If you haven't checked those sites out, do! You might find that there's a great deal for a place you never thought you could afford.
It all really depends on what you're into. Just find something that you both liked to do before you had kids.

Good for you. Date night with hubby is priceless. We still do it weekly (a lot cheaper now that we don't pay a sitter $80 a week!)
The DFW area has a ton of things to do from concerts, plays, sporting events, etc. There is a guidebook in the paper every Friday with upcoming things to do.
Get on the city website, see what is coming to your town and what is available. Now with the holiday season in tow, there will be more to do.
Do you like great restaurants? Fine wine? music? Think about the things you like and go from there.

I hear you about the movie theaters being too over priced...hubby and I rarely go to the movies anymore but when we do, it's always early and we always plan out our movies and pay for one and sneak into another one! I know this is dishonest...but we do it, and it's fun!
There is always the local bar to have a drink and shoot some pool? That's always fun...
What night of the week is it? Starlite has jazz music on thursday nights (I believe) and there's comedy on thursday nights, too, at Howie's. There's open mic night at the Root Note if you're more into the coffee/beer/acoustic music thing.
The La Crosse Community theater and the Muse theater both have some great shows.
