I know how you feel. I started my son in an in home daycare when he was six months... About two weeks into it, he was miserable, sleeping all the time, (well more then usual) took him to the doctors office they thought something was wrong with how he was growing, we did numerous tests because he would not keep on weight.. and finally Dr. G said to me "what have you done differently about four weeks ago" I said i started him in daycare. She said take him out. I went to the house and confronted the woman, and OMG! The lady was just giving him formula.. to save on baby food.. she had tons of my babys food just stored...
After that I have only used Day Care Centers, and after looking into tons of them, and trying out a few...I have stuck with Kindercare learning centers... I was afraid at first to put my son in a "center" but after the initial nervousness went away it was actually a relief. They write down everything, pottys, food, burps, bumps, everything!(and im sure it must be better now, that was seven years ago!) you can call, stop in, whenever, its awesome. i used the one at 25th ave and peoria, and one in scottsdale. There was a center at 35th ave and union hills, but it was a really old building and i didnt like that one or the staff...
Good luck!
