I've had dark circles under my eyes my whole life. It's just genetics for me, thin skin under the eye that gives the appearance that I'm always "tired." I've tried just about everything. I'm not sure of the degree of your circles, so I'll offer 2 suggestions.
First is Bare Minerals by Bare Escentuals. I don't like to wear a lot of makeup either, and need something fast and easy. There are a few different mineral-based products out there, and I've found this brand to be the best by far, as far as coverage. I'd recommend getting the kabuki brush (offers more coverage than the other brushes b/c it's denser) and the concealer brush for concentrating on the eye area. That may be enough for you. You can get one of the starter kits that includes 2 shades, so you can mix to create the best match for your skin tone. Also, keep in mind that under your eye, generally you'll want to use 1 shade lighter than your actual skin tone, and a slightly yellow tint will help best for under-eye coloration. You can order it online at sephora.com or at sephora stores.
If using the powder foundation doesn't offer enough coverage for you, then the best concealer I've found is by MAC. You can get that at most dept stores (Macy's, Carson's, etc). It's a thicker, cream-based concealer, so it's a little trickier to get it just right without looking cakey. But the MAC makeup artists at the counter I've found to be extremely helpful at teaching "tricks of the trade" so you can ask them when you go there. The only thing is with this route you'll want to put a powder over it, so you'll have to decide if you want to do cream-based or powder-based. Personally, I use the MAC concealer and then the Bare Minerals over it. But there's no "one size fits all" formula, since everyone has different skin tones, properties (oil/dry/etc), etc.
I hope this helps. Good luck!
