Looking since I am new to the area of Miami Lakes!! I do what the whole package with great friendly staff! Would love separate room like for instance one for healthy kid and the other for sick kids! But it be fine cant expect alot:() I want a great doctor that really love kids!!!

My daughter currently visits South Florida Pediatrics in Miami Lakes. I am happy with Dr. Mayra Capote. The staff is nice and always takes you in if you have an emergency. I am with pediatric associates and they are great. They have after hours and also do the lab work right at most of their facilities. Check out their website www.pediatricassociates.com They have a well area and a sick area :-) Hope this helps
I was with Pediatric Associates and hated them! They misdiagnosed my son 2 times. Having said that, there is one doctor in the Miami Lakes office (I can't remember his name, but it's an older man). My neighbor swears by him.
I'm not with Dr. Ruth Schobel. She's in the mall where Blockbuster, Ocean Bank and Bev Hills Cafe is. She's great!!! I believe her number is ###-###-####. She's absolutely wonderful!!! I've been going there with both of my kids since December.

i was with dr. ruth schobel in miami lakes (in beverly hills cafe shopping center) but i was not very happy with her. in fact, i'm looking for a new pediatrician.
to be fair, she came recommended and seems knowledgeable in pediatrics...but she has a dry bedside manner and can even seem rude at times. she's a bit older -- i think like 60+ years old -- and this would normally be a huge PLUS for me b/c she has experience BUT i feel she's a little stiff in her beliefs and a younger doctor may be more open to discussing more modern ideas on child wellness, practices, vaccines, etc.
Dr. Dweck who is in the same practice is WONDERFUL and has a great bedside manner especially when dealing with babies.
also, they have an EXCELLENT nurse who runs that place. i can't say enough great things about her.. you will spend a lot of time with her since she preps everything for the doctor and i can honestly say i will miss her the most from that practice!
