I Need Extra Income.

I am a Married Stay @ Home Mom of two kids. I am in need of some extra income, but I have a dilemma. While my daughter is going to elementary school full time my son goes to Pre-k part time(7:55 - 10:55 a.m.) My husband has a full time job(8 a.m.-5 p.m.). I don't want to work evenings, nights, or weekends. I rather work during the kids' school hours. I also don't want to put my kids in daycare, because I am 23 yrs. old and since I graduated from High School I have been a Stay @ Home Mom with absolutely no work experience or history(except doing the many things a Stay @ Home Mom does). Therefore I would have a hard time finding a job and if I did get a job I would only be making enough to pay for daycare with little or nothing left which is pointless. I also highly doubt that anyone would hire me for 3 hours a day. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Sorry if my request is a little lengthy

Heve you tried selling Avon? I am an Avon Rep and it is a really fun way to earn extra money while at home, I mean u could get clients just from your neighborhood or kids schools. www.avon.com

Have you tried a temp agency. Sometimes that is a good place to start when you don't know where to even look.

Try getting on with your son's pre-school.

Just talk with the director. Or try another day school.

It's not huge money but it might be a start at hours that are compatible with your kids.

Here are some potential options for you:

1)Try to find something to do from home so you could continue to work when preschooler comes home. Something that would not require inventory or a substantial investment on your part.

2) Switch your child to a full time preschool or a preschool with after hours care.

3) Lack of experience will be difficult, but there are places that will do on-the-job training. I don't know how much extra cash you want to make, but I know several moms who have been very successful selling AVON or the STUCK ON YOU labels or doing special classes at local preschools.

I have been teaching early childhood music and movement classes as well as Kindermusik for a year now at several local preschools, daycare centers and mother's day out programs in my area. I simply took the online training provided by Kindermusik over a 5 month period, got my license to teach Kindermusik, then also added my own generic classes. I have been teaching 4 classes per week at my daughter's preschool in exchange for her tuition. That worked out really well. The investment was only $400 for the training and I'll bet they'll let you pay it out over the 5 month period. If you're interested, go to www.kindermusik.com for more info.

You could also do creative art classes. All you'd need to buy are the supplies like paints, aprons, brushes, paper, modeling clay, stuff for paper mache. Pack it in a suitcase and keep in the trunk of your car. These childcare centers are always looking for new and different enrichment programs their parents can pay for or that they'll pay for. There's gymnastics or tumbling (although you really need training for this) art, drama, puppetry, storytelling and lots more.

Hello Z.! I think it is awesome that you want to remain a stay at home mom, but bring in some extra money for your family at the same time. This is totally possible! You should check out www.southernlivingathome.com

I signed on as a consultant 7 mos. ago after leaving a corporate job to stay at home and open my own interior decorating firm. I have been able to run both businesses debt free thanks to Southern Living at HOME. I love it, I am my own boss and set my own schedule.

If you are interested in more details, give me a call at ###-###-####. I can also send you a DVD and brochure with more info.

I'm not sure if you're interested in network marketing via the web, but you can work any hours you want, the money can be great if you like what you're doing and the products are awesome. The company that I know about is called Meleleuca and they sell healthy products (non-toxic) for family and home. If you are interested, I can set up a conference call for you to listen to, and then you can make your own decision. Let me know.
