Ladies:
In December of 2007, I was admitted to the hospital. Later that day I found out I had hyperthyroidism. I stayed home from work (busy job at a local hospital) to get well for the rest of December. Now, when I went back to work the second week of January 2008, I worked my buns off. The doctor I work for never even asked me how I was feeling. To make a long story short, I really want to stay at home with my children 13 and 9, but that means my husband would be working and taking on all the bills. BILLS, I onced helped him with. You see, I got sick again at work a few weeks ago. My hands were shaking and so was I. My doctor took me out of work yet again and you don't get paid on FMLA. My question to all of you is. Should I stay home or go back to work next month?? I would really like a "Work from home" job.

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Ladies, thank you all for responding. I know it's late, but I went back to work and currently my job is laying off. I'm one of them I recently heard from a "management" friend. I'm happy though. I'll get severence and UE and I'll be home with my kids. I will look into all of your websites for those who supplied them. Thanks to all of you.

D.,
I too have a medical condition that has taken me out of work. I too love arts & crafts & researched that the hobby industry is very lucrative. So, I got into what I am doing now which is making & selling homemade candles. I am doing well with it. The best part is I am my own boss & get to write off any expense. This has beat working full-time which I did for over 20 years but no longer can due to my health. I am MUCH happier now working for myself. Check out my website & let me know if you have any questions. If you like arts & crafts like I always have & want to work from home you probably would do well. I do very very well with this.

I am lucky enough to have a schedule that allows me to work full-time but half the week in the office and half the week at home. I also just started selling jewelry as a way to make some more money and who knows, maybe be able to stay at home full-time. I would be more than happy to share some information with you, if you are interested.

I was put out of work this past december for high blood pressure while pregnant. After my leave was up I didn't want to go back to work either. I cannot do the work at homejobs that involve throwing parties (I am not that out going) or being a salesman. So I have been working with work at home united. So far I love it. You can work part time for some extra cash or you can work full time. For me its great because I am also a military spouse and we move a lot, so I don't have to constantly change jobs. You can email me for more info ____@____.com or just to chat. Hope this helps and good luck if I don't hear from you.

well since you love arts and crafts, Are you very good at making stuff like photo albums etc..etc..etc... ?? If so you could always stay home and do your arts and crafts for a living! If you know how, you could make like wedding or baby photo albums and sell them online on ebay. Your making money and do not need to pay taxes on LOL!!! And it would be something you enjoy. I would speak to your husband, which i am sure he already knows how you feel but if you have a boss who is that inconsiderate, i wouldn't want to work with him either! let us know what you decide, good luck!
