I was wondering if anyone new of a good website or organization for games or play dates or anything I could do for week and weekend ideas for me and my son.

Libraries usually have things going on for all ages. I know the local one has a type of treasure hunt for information and the kids looked really excited.

If you live near Linthicum, we have the Electronics Museum on Nursery Road which most people don't realize is here. It has wonderful hand-on displays for kids. The space room is awesome; plus they have a camera which has been to the moon. Only 3 in existense. One still on the moon, one at Smithsonian, and one in Linthicum. It's free, just a donation. Open 10-3, except Sunday.

I belong to a group called Mom Inc.
Many of the Moms in this group are very well connected and could probably offer you variety of activities.

Again depending on the area your in some 4-H Clubs have clover programs for 5-7 yr olds. Go to www.maryland4h.org and click on county offices then select the county you live in and give them a call. 4-H is not just animals and the people are great!

As far as playgroups, there are many moms clubs in the area, it depends on what area of town you are in.

Also, check out www.gocitykids.com There are activities listed for DC and Baltimore (I think, I get the DC update weekly.)

Hi A.

Im not sure where you live- but if you are near annapolis, you may want to try going to the MY GYm- in SP- rollie polies. Yes, you have to pay for classes, but they have free play a couple of times a week. That is a great opportunity to meet other kids and moms.

They have classes for little ages- but they also have great classes for kids your sons age.

Hope that helps!
D.
