If you're going out of town-why not prepare his favorite meals before you leave?
So my honey is taking this month long test to become a sgt. And it's been really stressful for us both. His 1st test in 3 weeks from not and than I'm going out of town and was trying to think of some cute ideas that say I'm supporting you!! Thought maybe a cute little basket or something? He's hard cuz he's into stuff that he need s to shop for like welding.... Thanks!
Well me my daughter and my puppy all have the middle name Anne so all the girls keep the same middle name... So it's us 3 Anne's lol

I would probably do something like a "all-nighter/cram session" box (snacks, drinks, a couple of stress balls/toys) and then do a random sprinkling of notes, text messages, and emails just saying "hey, i'm thinking about you. hope your studying is going well, etc"
And definitely some extra loving for the extra stressful times :)
I just read the book "The 5 Love Languages" so that's where my head is at right now, lol. Maybe a card with words of affirmation, a gift card for where he shops along with his favorite treats, run one of his errands, give him some lovin' the night before (I swear that raises my test scores!) and/or plan a night out after the test. I think that covers all 5 love languages, haha. I guess my point is, if you're not feeling the gift gift consider other ways you can show your love and support that might be more meaningful to him.
I love the basket idea :) For our anniversary, on friday, i got my hubby lots of his favorites. From tiny cans of his favorite soda, candies, to comfy undies, t shirts etc.
My son is in the USAF and he had a lot of studyig to do for his tests for his next rank. I can understand. I had to the same many years ago when I went in the Army.
I would suggest going a doing something with the kids so he can study undisturbed. I'd prepare a nice meal so he can have a break, but save him any of the normal stress builders that come in day to day living so he can concentrate on studing rather than have other things on his mind.
Last, but definately not least, tell him how much you love him and for all of the time he spends studying and then ask him when he can take a break. When he tells you, be there for him wearing something that tells him you REALLY love him. Of course you will need to have the children at a babysitters so you an give him your undivided attention. You will undoubtedly have his undivided attention.
Good luck to you and yours. I especially wish him good fortune in passing his tests and him being so lucky having such a beautiful and caring wife and family.
BTW, most names have a meaning behind them. I have 8 kids. What is the symbolism behind your name? (Thanks)
