Im a First Time Mom Seeking a Pediatrician in the Bronx

I use the Montefiore medical group on Astor ave in the Pelham Parkway section of the bronx. The pediatrician I use is Dr. Tolchin she is experienced and is good with the kids. They have a group of about 7 or 8 doc's ###-###-####

I don't know where you're located in the Bronx, but you should definitely check out my pediatrician, Dr. Elmer Arteaga. He's located on Grand Concourse at 206th Street (right off Mosholu Parkway). He's fantastic, and as a matter of fact, my OB/GYN, who's fantastic, used him as her pediatrician for all of her kids. My daughter was born in Our Lady of Mercy (my sister is an OB nurse there) and he was one of the pediatricians on staff. Before we even left the hospital, he told me a list of about 10 things that were to be expected (infant acne, strange breathing patterns, etc) and so I shouldnt worry if these things appear. Also, my sister has a friend who used him for her kids and the lady called him about 10 times a day (no joke - she's very neurotic) and he was always nothing but patient. He also goes out of his way to let you know he's available on the phone 24/7 if needed. I know he takes Blue Cross, and I'm sure many others. His office personnel are great too. If you're in the Wakefield section, call Wakefield Pediatrics. They're located at 711 Nereid Avenue, ###-###-####. I believe they take most insurances, but just call & check. We have United Healthcare. You have the option of choosing one doctor or seeing whichever is available at the time of your visit. Their doctors are associated with Our Lady of Mercy Hospital, and they're a patient and caring group of doctors. Take it easy on the job. I was working in Mt. Vernon one day, and called in the next morning, baby in tote. Good luck!

hi. my prenatal and my baby's first dr were at morris heights women's health center. the center includes a children's clinic. it is at the 4 train at Burnside, then you just walk up the hill about two blocks, it is on both sides of the street, but the children's clinic is on the right. They are not super progressive but they are better then most and caring doctors.

I live in Norwood, and go to Dr. Koors at the Montefiore Medical Group at 3400 Bainbridge. I like Dr. Koors and I have heard that Dr. Waugh is good, also. But I don't especially like the office staff, nor the other doctors that I have seen in that practice, so we might be looking for another practice. But we are right around the corner, which counts for a lot when your child is sick! ###-###-#### x2. Good luck.
