Ok, i have an important question. I am 10 days late for my period. I had a baby 2 months ago (will be 3 months the 16th of this month). I had a normal period the first time but am now 10 days late. My first one did last almost 3 weeks and i am usually an irregular person. I was afraid i was pregnant at first (even though it was onlly 3 times and we used comdoms and pulled out all 3 times). we were VERY careful and even checked for any spllits or holes. He even squeezed it to check for wholes and because im so paranoid i actually held the top of each one during it. but yesterday i bought 3 clearblue digital tests. They all came out negitive and are 99% right and as good as a doctors test. The only other sign i had was having to pee often (my often i mean like every hour and a half or two hours) but i think that may be something else cause ive had sharp pains in my bladder and it has burned a few times. I was thinking a possible bladder infection. if it helps, i had an emergency c section when i delivered and had some infection in it. YES i am having cramping from time to time and have had a lot of stress lately... also, i should of specified about this. when i said pulled out i meant he pulled out WHILE using a comdom. Not just by itself. I dont risk that. lol

What can I do next?

You're not pregnant. The tests are reliable and are all negative. Your body could take up to a year to regulate, unless you go on the pill! The cramping and frequent urination are very typical of post-partum. All that fluid has to come out somehow! If you are nursing and staying hydrated, then you should need to urinate about every two hours.

Stress can delay a period. It sound like you have worked yourself up with worry, and your body is not able to relax. I would go to your doctor. You could possibly have a bladder/ vaginal infection. Frequent urination also is a physical symptom of anxiety/stress. You need to relax sweetie!

Are you nursing? I nursed my first for 11 months, didn't have a period the whole time-it was great! After having a baby it will take several months for your cycles to return to normal. I don't recall cramping or burning, if it continues you need to call your dr, you could have an infection.

All the symptoms you have described are also symptoms of pms AND having just had a baby, so I wouldn't put much stock into those symptoms of I were you. Your period being late can also be a result of having just had a baby... your hormones can take a year or more to regulate themselves after having a child. I doubt you are pregnant if you were as careful as you say.

It's more common to get false negatives than false positives. If you're ten days late with negative tests then I think you need to get a blood test from your OB. The blood tests are more accurate than urine tests. Just saying.

If you think you have a bladder infection, you need to get antibiotics immediately. It gets bad, fast.

Your body might take a while to regulate itself. Especially, since you are irregular to begin with. If you are very worried, I suggest getting on some birth control.

Dont OBs tell women to refrain from sex for a few weeks after the birth of a baby, and even longer if it was a c-section? You probably jumped the gun and did too much too soon and now have an infection because of it. A lot of stuff happened inside of you during the surgery and you didnt give it time to heal. As for the "first period" was that the bleeding you had right after the birth? This isnt your first baby so you do know you can bleed for several days after giving birth. And if you are nursing it can make you be very irregular with spotting and being later than normal and even keep you from having periods as long as you nurse. All in all you are probably not pregnant but are just rushing things and not letting your body get back to normal. Slow down, tell hubby he can wait, and get some rest. Youll have time for all the fun later.
