I have a family member and very close friend that is due with twin girls in Aug. They (the couple) had fertility issues for more than a yr and amazingly conceived twins without any fertility help. Anywho, next to me and my babies these 2 ppl (the parents to be) were in my prayers nightly to have a baby because they will make amazing parents and wanted this so so bad. So I need the best present ever. Any ideas? Ide like to consider myself a fairly creative person but with a preschooler and a toddler with me all day I am somewhat limited to what I can throw together myself

Thanks in advance

What can I do next?

DNA art!!!

Works whether they're identical or fraternal. Not inexpensive, but there's a variety of price ranges.

DNA11 is the second company, but their hyperlink is having issues on this platform for some reason. Just google :)

Whatever you do, may I suggest making the gifts complementary colors. For example, my twin had pink stuff, and I had yellow. It made it easier for others to know which we were and has been a lifesaver for looking over older pictures. It might be cool to see if they already have colors picked out for this purpose.

My more specific gift suggestion is newborn photos, although they may plan to do them on their own.

Swaddle Designs makes beautiful, useful swaddle blankets (bigger & softer than any other) with tons of color choices and they can be monogrammed. As much as I hated getting blankets, these are above & beyond the best.

That's what pops into my head for now! Twins are so much fun! ;)

Housekeeping services! It was the best gift I got and something I haven't forgotten. And my youngest is 9.

Well, if you're looking to buy something, may I suggest the company Magic Cabin? Look them up online. They have some beautiful and unusual items that you won't find in conventional stores.

Meals!!! When my twin girls were born I had absolutely no time to cook, so the meals people brought over (with disposable plates) were so great. I know you want to give them adorable outfits, or super cute stuffed animals, or something really shiny... but the presents I remember valuing the most were the gifts of time and food.

If food is no good, then I'd go with something that reminds them to value the time and take pictures. How about getting them month stickers for taking pictures? I can't vouch for this brand, but they look cute: http://pickysticky.com/

Couple of ideas...
1. Check the registry (if they have one) b/c that's what they need!

2. Two engraved photo albums. My husband is a twin and his parents have tons of pictures of them as babies, but not multiple copies. So... who gets the pictures? If you create an album for each, it may prompt mom & dad to print three copies of things and make sure that each one has a record of their childhood. Add a gift card to CVS (or wherever you print photos) or a few boxes of photo paper to print from home.

3. Diapers... lots of them. Not "awe inspiring", but you KNOW they will go through tons and tons of them!

4. If they are both girls, I would suggest a pretty jewelry box monogrammed with their initials. I have twin nieces and we did one for each for their Baptism and have added pieces of jewelry over the last couple of years.

I like all of the suggestions so far. These are things that you can wait until the birth, just in case they aren't both girls. :)

Here are some more.
1. Matching (not identical), cute, soft blankets
2. A keepsake box for each.
3. Id anklet. Twins can be hard to tell apart, especially when naked!
