Burrows Moving Co. is great. I have met the owner and hired them 2 or 3 times. If you call this company, ask for Darryl, the son-in-law of the owner. (There are two Darryls.)

My family and I are moving to the Southside in October and I am looking for recommendations for movers. Has anyone had a good experience with a specific moving company? We are moving from a condo to a house about 20 miles from downtown Chicago.

Samson Movers (purple truck) were AWESOME. My husband and I never had such a great experience. And they came recommended to me from 4 other people. We moved from the city and 50 miles SW. We moved from a 3rd floor condo unit (no elevator). They also hit two of our storage units and to our house. It took 10 hours and they busted their butts. Good luck! I also did a lot of research on Angie's list for reviews and prices. Samson had a nice middle of the road hourly rate.
Hi M.,
I used USA Movers and they were great. Very professional, very quick and reasonable...about $800 for a two bedroom apartment. They even threw in wardrobe boxes. Good luck. They are in the phone book.
I had great luck with Raffe Movers ###-###-####. A number of my friends have used them and found them to be efficient, reliable and careful as well. When I used them 2 years ago they charged $140/hour for a 4 man crew, plus a transit fee (I think that was $140) and free wardrobe boxes.
Midway was awesome - quick, inexpensive, and they were very good (no scratches, etc.)
