In Search of a Part-time Pre-school for 3 Yr Old in South Minneapolis

I think that I heard that there were a few more openings left at my son's school- they started last week.

It's a great school: Teachers who are wholly engaged in what the children and doing and upon the individual needs and interests of the children. A learning through play teaching philosophy.

Grace Neighborhood Nursery School (www.gnns.com). It's located Uptown, on 28th and Hennepin.

Just want to put in another plug in for Jardin Magico on 38th and Minnehaha - it is fantastic. My daughter can't wait to get there; she starts dancing as soon as we open the door and then blows me kisses good-bye! They have part-time options, the organic food gives me peace of mind, and it's great to have it in our neighborhood and meet neighbor families! Best wishes!

Check into Hope Preschool, just north of 62 on Cedar/77 (by Fat Lorenzo's).

I think there was a recommendation for Grace Neighborhood Nursery School. I LOVE GRACE! My daughter attended there for two years and everything about the school was fabulous. You should set up a tour. Its great. The school is located in uptown at 28th and Hennepin.

Try H. Preschool on Cedar and like 65th/70th or something. I have a friend who goes ther and loves it.

If you are at Hiawatha and 38th, then you are right by Jardin Magico. My son goes there and we LOVE it! It's a bilingual center, so you would have to be comfortable in an environment where not everyone on the staff speaks English. But we think that's a big plus; in fact that was one of the main things that attracted us to the center. Additionally, they are extremely progressive. For example, they only serve organic foods and the younger kids are all in cloth diapers. www.jardinmagico.org
