I think Olathe has some junior highs that offer open swim time in the off season. You might check thru either the city or the school district there.
Hello Moms, A couple of months ago I asked for recommendations for places for swimming lessons and got a great response, thank you. Now I'm wondering if there are indoor swimmng pools that my boys and I could visit once in a while to practice and just have fun. I'm looking for somewhere that doesn't require membership, of course I expect to pay a resonable fee.
Thank you, M.

I'm not sure where you live but Lawrence, Ks has a wonderful
indoor and out door center. The indoor center has several pools and water play areas for all ages. They also have a party room you can rent for a reasonable fee for birthday parties. There is no membership fee and the cost per visit is reasonable. Check out their web site for more info.
I don't know what you consider a reasonable fee, but the Matt Ross Community Center charges $7 per person per day to use their facilities, including their wonderful pools. The play pool has fountains, a turtle slide for little ones, a lazy river, and on weekends, a very nice waterslide for swimmers.

M.,
i have no clue if there are "public" type indoor swimming pools, but i had a "duh" moment a few weeks ago - i have lots of friends in apartments and a lot of their complexes have them. might be worth it to ask around!
