Hello ladies,
I have a bit of a problem. Last year we didn't even put up our Christmas lights because we haven't anyone to do it. We used to have a guy do it who was great- did a great job for an amazing price. He has moved away, so can no longer do it anymore. Just for a comparison on prices, he only charged $75 to do our whole house all the way around the top and the porch (3000 sf house). Most of the guys who do similiar houses in the 'hood charge $300 and up (and those are quotes I've gotten in the past). My hubby would do it, but we don't own a tall ladder for getting on the second story and he's scared of heights. I've done just the porch in the past myself. Please help- do you know anyone who is reasonable?
PS. I know the firefighters do it- they're some of the most expensive ones!!! My neighbor across the street has the same house as me and she paid $350 just to have the front of the house done. I paid $75 to have the house done all the way around.
Well, I ended up doing it myself. Obviously not the second story, but it looks good enough. I had one estimate and it was for $300, of course. Maybe next year we'll find a reasonable guy.

Check with your local fire dept. Off duty firefighters do this type of work to earn extra money.
