I am looking to buy a new (or near new vehicle) and am thinking about an SUV (mid size). Currently I have a '96 chrysler t&c wheelchair minivan for my youngest son (13). My son is starting to walk on his own but will still need a wheelchair or a stroller type ambulation for when he is tired or for prolonged outings. So, what I am looking from others is input on a good , dependable suv that has ample room in the back end for a wheelchair and get's good gas mileage. Something that may have 1/2 way decent leg room in the back seat. Tell me what you have/drive and why you like it.

What can I do next?

Hi J.,

We just got a GMC Envoy. It is not as big as a YUKON, but it is great! The dealership we went to was Pontiac, Buick, and GMC in Kirkland. They are wonderful! We got a fantastic deal and the whole experience was very positive and great. I highly reccomend the car and that dealership. Hope this helps...

Blessings,

K

Hi J.,

I am very new to this website, and this is my first response that I am writing!!! Yeah I actually feel like I can help! My husband actually works for a dealership and he can sell from 4 different types of dealerships! He specialized in SUV's, VANS, Trucks ect! If you just wanted to talk to someone about your needs give him a call. He is all about helping people and treating people with respect. We are in the Lynnwood area as well you should give him a call and maybe he would have some suggestions for you.

I have an Isuzu Trooper and I love love love that car. It isn't the most popular SUV on the road but it should be ;). It gets decent gas mileage. I am not certain about an exact number but I fill up once every week and a half and I do a fair amount of driving. The back and front seats have plenty of leg room. The back has two doors so it opens up completely and it is very roomy back there and would definitely fit a wheelchair and since the back opens up completely it would be easy to get it in there. To top it all off it has 4 wheel drive which for me living in the NW is really nice.

I don't know much myself about cars but from my experience I love Ford! My husband is a manager at Harris Ford in Lynnwood and we've had a few different SUVs in varying sizes, one in two accidents and it held up so well, thank goodness! He canm search five car lots and find a used vehicle that fits your needs for mileage, size, and price or get you a good deal on a new vehicle since he's a manager and not just a salesman (I know some people hate car salesmen!) Feel free to give him a call anytime! Shawn ###-###-####
