A.A.
I would buy several small, cheap toys and as you see the kids getting bored, pull them out. We did this on a long car ride and it worked great. We had pipe cleaners, play dough, lacing boards, a mirror, etc. Good luck and have fun!
So we are traveling to France in less than two weeks. I have a 5 year old and a one year old. Any tips? As far as I know the restrictions are on only liquids...snacks should be o.k. right? Lots of snacks and things to do are in my plan...and pray that they sleep. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Well we made it through the trip! On the way there they both slept pretty much the entire time! Unfortunately other kids were playing and screaming so we couldn't sleep. The way back was a bit more difficult. Mainly with keeping the baby happy. Thanks for allthe advice!

How much fun! Snacks are fine.Play dough was our saving grace. Of course art supplies. We wrapped little gifts and when she got restless, we would give her a new little toy. Mostly she played with the play dough. She made lots of friends by sharing the play dough and coloring books. We even got stuck overnight in the airport on our way home. It made for a very peaceful trip for everyone. Have fun.
Having lived overseas for 8 years, traveling back to the USA every summer with 5 kids, I learned along the way to pack a complete change of clothing in a ziploc bag for each kid. If your bags don't make it along with you, you'll at least have a clean set of clothing to get by on. I also would pack a sippy cup for each of the younger children. Nothing is worse than spilled juice within the first hour! Sounds like you've got it right with things to do and snacks too! Have a fun trip!
