I wouldn't trust IE - any of the levels - 1 through 9 - at all...
We use chrome or firefox...both of them are easy to download!
GOOD LUCK!!
I am having problems receiving my e-mails for my yahoo account. I am in hopes that changing from internet explorer to something else will help, but I don't have any ideas. What do you use? Is it easily downloadable?
Thank you. I am in the process of downloading Firefox right now.
I was told I had an e-mail sent to me an hour ago and it still has not shown up in my yahoo in box. Grrr any other ideas of what to check?

Chrome. Never use IE, it is the devil!
Oh both Chrome and Firefox have free downloads and yup, very easy.
Okay on the email it could have been messed up on the sender's end.
I have both internet explorer and Firefox on my computer at home. I use firefox when I get messages that the version of internet explorer is not supported, blah blah blah. My girls also use Firefox when I let them go on Youtube. Verey easy to download and I have not had any problems except when they open both and it slows the computer d o w n. Then I have to clean it all up.
Chrome - love it - easy to download.
Firefox. Keep it updated. And Norton 360 for antivirus protection.
Mostly I use Firefox.
I only use IE for a very few sites that require it.
Hate hate hate IE. I use mostly Google chrome, and sometimes Firefox. I find that some of the ridiculous games I play on Facebook (yeah I'm one those people) don't work properly with Firefox.
I like google chrome much more than firefox. Its faster, safer and way more efficient. Been there done that with Fox. I even switched my work browser to chrome.
Google Chrome; very easy to download, and SO much faster than IE!!
You need to keep in mind that your browser (Firefox is my fav) has nothing to do with how quickly Yahoo puts your mail in your box. When an email is sent, it travels through several servers before landing in your box. For most, this is pretty instantaneous. For others it can take awhile. Yahoo is probably one of the worst for delays, right behind AOL. However, an hour is a long time. Could it have bounced? Or gone to a spam box? I think gmail is better than Yahoo - something to consider.
We also use Firefox on our home laptop. It looks a little bit different, but we don't have any issues with it.
Firefox here. But after reading your responses...might try Chrome....
(And IE IS the devil! LOL)
Google Chrome. I recently switched to it from Firefox. Still getting used to it, but so far I really like it.
FYI~Yahoo email has been screwy for about 10 days now. I use it too and I googled it the toher day and they have had some sort of "issue" that the geeks are all posting about. I ahve 3 Yahoo email addesses..they are all that way the last week and a half or so.
Mine keeps locking up..goofy-like? I dunno, its odd...like messages don't come across right..then I hit refresh and there it is? Or the buttons for forward/reply, etc are not even there..hit refresh..BINGO they show up again. Weird stuff. All systems get glitchy. Its a bunch of machines we rely on! And as someone else said...it won't matter what browser you use....its a Yahoo mail issue. Not a browser one.
This too, shall pass!
Often when I am online I experiece issues with pages loading or being very slow. If I change from one browser to another it usually helps. I will use goodle chrome, IE, and firefox. They all work very similar but not exactly.
If you are still having issues then you need to switch to another computer not in the same place. If it is the server for your company then anywhere in the building is the same server. Try a local library that offers internet service or an internet cage. If the issue is still happening then it's not you or your computer. It's the server from Yahoo.
