Irritating Pain

I have this pain between my armpit and the side of my breast. It started happening after I went to the Dr for my asthma attack today. He took my blood pressure, pulse and listened to my breathing with his stethescope. I told him my lower back was hurting when I would breath in. He just gave me a different inhaler and different acid reflux meds. I called the Dr's office and I wasn't able to speak with the nurse. She transfered me to urgent care and she said she can't give advice. Then transfered me to a nurses hotline which was a non working number. What the heck do I do? Go to the Emergency room? I have been mixing up what I mean to say a lot over the last year like hot instead of cold,in instead of out. but my hubby does it too sometimes. The Dr did tell me to get a head scan but I didn't want to spend the money when we had other Dr bills plus I was scared. Does anyone else do this or think it could be related? Last time i had this pain they said it was probably the caffeine and chocolate. I only had one cup of soda today and no chocolate.

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

It's my armpit/brest area that's hurting. Not my asthma right now. A pain keeps running through it every couple mins. Last time they said it was probably the caffeine and the fact that I doubled my birth controls that day because I missed one.I talked to the online dr on the Walgreens website and he helped me out a lot. I love that site! I think my ribs hurt from the coughing and it goes up that direction. He said acid reflux causes an itchy throat too so stay ontop of the meds for that. Take two instead of one.

I get that also but I usually can do stretches and it usually helps. I think it is in the muscles or back out of line, especially since you said your back was hurting this makes sense.

The head scan might be a good idea. It could show if you have a blockage or anurisum (Sp?) or even the beginning of a stroke. If you were just forgetting things like someone's name it wouldn't be bad but getting oppisites mixed up is more then just memory loss. It could very well be a life saving scan.

Why not go to the Emergency Room or Doctor? Get the scan that was recommended. Never put off things related to your health. It could be something or it could be nothing but at least you will know.

Did you strain yourself or anything?
Can they do an EKG? To check your heart?
Women have different symptoms, than Men, per heart conditions.
Not to scare you though.
I just read about it in the Prevention magazine.
So its in my recent memory.

I have Asthma too.
Is your Asthma meds helping????
If not, tell your Doc and go to the ER.
Did they check you for Pneumonia or anything???

Why the acid reflux meds??? Do you have acid reflux?
If not, you should not take that.
Was it just a 'guess' on your Doctor's part?

Go to the ER.
This is your health.

If your Asthma meds are not working, you REALLY should go back to the Doctor or ER.

Well I think first I would find a nurse's line that IS a working number. Look one up on line, just google it. There are probably at least 2. I think that is the best option at this point. However, if you can't get through to a nurse's line or something like that then I probably would head to the ER. If you're even thinking about it, it's probably worth the trip in the long run.
