HI all,

I know it is NOT ok to take Airborne while pregnant, but I have never heard whether, or not, it is ok to take it while nursing. My husband and 23 month old both have colds, and I am trying desperately to avoid getting my 7 week old daughter and myself sick.

Thanks for your help.

What can I do next?

There is currently a class action suit against Airborne because it doesn't actually do what they say. I don't know if it's good while nursing--but that's worth thinking about.

I've taken airborne and think it helps and I am a nursing mom too. Unfortunately I didnt do enough and got the miserable cold anyway. I wish you luck. the law suit is for zicam not airborne I believe...not positive there isnt both. I've always taken homeopathic stuff while pregnant and nursing but that is me.

stay healthy

I second the class action suit. There was no medical research behind the product and it probably has a placebo effect for most people.....meaning mind over matter.

Hi,
If it's not good for the baby before she's born, it's not good for her after she's born. Your best bet is to make everyone wash their hands A LOT!, eat healthy, get enough (as much as you can) sleep. I have my doubts about that supplement anyway. Good luck!

Do some research on it first. I read recently that all Airborne is (and there is a civil case out there about it being a fraud) is a different way to get Vitamin C into the system. Do some research. Otherwise I'd stick with more natural means. Eat healthy, dring lots of fluids, get rest, anything you can do to keep your immune system up.

My husband got a terrible cold when my son was 2 weeks old and I was afraid my son and I would get sick as well. I asked the pharmacist and she said it was fine to take, but not to take it with a multi-vitamin or a prenatal vitamin so that he doesn't get too much vitamin A. I heard about the class action suit, but I haven't had a single cold in years since I started taking Airborne. Maybe it is mind over matter, but it works for me!

I never took it while I was nursing. If it wasnt good for her while I was pregnant, I didnt feel safe doing it while I was nursing. Unless you can pump and dump. I did get to a point once where I did that when I was miserable.
