I have no idea, but ...

Jaundice is quite common in newborns and very easy to treat. Follow your doctor's instructions, and relax.

This is a question you should be asking your doctor. You should also be asking your doctor if there is anything about your hep b that could effect your child, be it jaundice or anything else.

A lot of newborns have jaundice with no connection to the mother's situation.

Please talk to your doctor, and ask also for a support group for people with hepatitis. There are many psychologists and social workers who run groups where you can talk freely and get great advice and real-world help.

The internet can give you misinformation and scare you to death. Do not use "Dr. Google" for health questions.

Why aren't you talking to a pediatrician?

Newborn jaundice
https://medlineplus.gov/ency/article/001559.htm

For a newborn jaundice can be pretty common for a few days to about a week.
Bilirubin causes it and it's broken down by the liver which is just coming online after birth.
Sunlight can also help break it down - sometimes newborns are given light treatments under special lamps (they wear tiny goggles to protect their eyes).

A doctor is your best resource for up to date information - get use to using their on call nurse line for any questions you might have.

One of mine had minor jaundice (not severe) and I did not have hepatitis. I was told it's nothing to be alarmed about and was given some drops for the baby.

No and really I'd think the doctors at the hospital would have answered this for you if you asked.
