Is Miscarraige Fear Warranted?

I meant to ask this. Should a healthy 31-year-old who is having a fifth child (with four under 7) worry about miscarriage? Note I had Hand, Foot and Mouth Disease when the baby was conceived and the first week or so of its existence in my womb. How common is miscarriage anyway for someone like me? I've never had any, but I do worry.

What can I do next?

I don't see any reason to worry. Worry doesn't change the outcome, anyway, Just hang in there mama.

Should you worry about miscarriage? You have a choice. You can choose to worry or choose to keep the faith. What does the doctor say about the effect your illness could have on your fetus? If the doctor says not to worry, I would make an effort to not think about it.

Worry doesn't change anything and can also affect your baby.

From what I can find, there's a risk, but it's very rare.
It takes approx 2 weeks for implantation to happen, so it might be you had HFM before there was any attachment - so baby would be unaffected.
There's nothing you can do about it, so try not to worry.

I don't know any of the statistics, but I will say that I had the same fear. I only have three, but with my first for some reason the fear wasn't there as much, but with my second and third, it was. Every doctors appointment I was so scared that I wouldn't hear the heartbeat. I have no medical conditions or problems during pregnancy, but was always scared something would go wrong.

Normally, miscarriage isn't from something you *do* or *don't do*.
It just is.
I've had 3.

All the best!
