Hi

I think it most definilty is the start to teething. My son had his first tooth brake through at 3.5 months in the bottom front. He was miserable, woulnd't eat, drink, sleep and all he wanted was to lay in his bouncer. I went to the store and bought Humphrey's Teething tabs, they get put in the side of her mouth and disolve with her saliva. They were LIFESAVERS. They also have a Colic one too, all of those have something in them that help to sleep as well, which helps the baby with pain just by sleeping. I was also given at my babyshower a "little ones" teething gel, wonderful when the gums get puffy and irritated, it helps numb the gums so it's more bareable for baby (and mommy :) ) Keep the pictures, you'll miss the gums when all the teeth come in. have fun with your new baby and enjoy each minute you have with her. :)
Sounds like it! My daughter had her first tooth at 3 months!! Sounds crazy, I know, but it does happen!! Tetthing gel works great! I used the Little Teethers one. Crushed ice is also great, but make sure it is finely crushed (kind of like you would for a snow cone). It will dissolve the second it hits her mouth. Worked for both my kids! Good luck!
Yes she is! My daughter had a little white spot on her bottom front gums and withing a week both teeth popped up. I couldn't feel anything when I could see the spot. My bet is that within a week or so you should be able to see her new teeth!
Im an RDA and a normal time period for baby teeth to erupt is from birth to 12mos. Normally the first two teeth to appear are the bottom two front ones and sometimes the gum looks blanched as its pushing up to the surface. You'll probably notice a lot of extra drool for a month too! I'd say that sounds normal, unless you see any kind of white junk come out of it. Im sure its her first toothers!
hi,it sounds like shes starting to get a tooth.our christina was the same way..she started teething at 3 months as well and it took a while for the first tooth to peek thru, think she was 4 and a half months before it broke through.but then they wouldnt stop coming!! shes just turned 9 months now and has 6 teeth..top and bottom.infant pain relief helped christina alot...good luck hun
E.,
It could be a tooth. And it may be like that for a couple months or it could come down quicker than that. My friend, her newborn is just over 4 months and she is already teething -started around 3 1/2 - 4 months.
Good luck!

most likley it is very possible to teeth earlily the down side is it might take a long time for that tooth to come in my daughter is about the same age and has one coming in as well another good way to tell is if she is chewing on things is a little fussyer and druleing alot.
Those little white spots are called tooth buds - she is likely not teething yet, but her mouth is getting ready for it and pushing the baby teeth closer to the surface of the gums in readiness for teething.
My daughter got her first tooth at 5 months, so keep an eye open for excessive drooling, not wanting to take a bottle, and general unhappiness. Once she shows those signs, start using baby orajel on her upcoming teeth, and ask your doctor about giving her a small dose of baby tylenol.
My daughter had the same thing at about the same age. The petiatric dentist said that they are milk glands. Nothing to worry about, she grew out of it. Although.... my other daugter had white spots and it turned out to be thrush. Nothing major the dr. just gives you oral cream for it... Hope i helped...

Hi. My son got his first tooth at 4 months. I had the same experience when I glanced in his mouth and saw a white spot and when I looked closer I realized it was a tooth. I took a really close up picture and sent it to my parents - they laughed because you could barely see it in a picture unless you enlarged it like 1000 times. It seems early but I bet that its a tooth!
Probably a tooth, give it a day and you'll see a big difference. Teeth grow like weeds! :)Anything else I can think of that causes white spots in the mouth like thrush rubs off and then bleeds a little before it turns white again. My neice and nephew got their teeth pretty young. If it is her tooth please don't start feeding her food she's still not ready. The american academy of pediatrics doesn't recomend solid foods even just baby cereal until 6 months. If she is bottle feeding that can be the reason for early teeth but some breastfed babies get teeth early too. Keep some teething tabs on hand and stock up on the baby motrin teething is no fun for babies.
I thought my son had teeth coming out of my womb cuz his gums were already hard and not soft! He started getting teeth at 3 1/2 months too! And he gets more than 1 tooth at a time so it's very stressful every other month. He's almost 8 months with 8 teeth now! Good luck! I recommend the numbing Baby Oragel... he hates it on application but gets a little less fussy with time!
