Or all your Christmas decorations? I haven't even begun. You would think its still summer w/outdoor toys all over my lawn, and Halloween w/my kid's costume currently sitting on my coffee table.
Hopefully we can put up our tree and get some decorations going by this weekend. Wish me luck!
If your tree is up, with or without ornaments, then you are waaaaaay ahead of me. I am seething w/Christmas jealousy.
Ok ok I'm getting on it! I'll pull out my storage bins of decorations as soon as I get off mamapedia...deal?

Mine is up. Is it (and the house) completely decorated? No.
I was sick for a couple of weeks so now I'm playing catch-up. I'm making it a good time by playing Christmas music all the time. The tree will be beautiful and the house will look good. It won't be as fancy as it sometimes is, but I'll enjoy Christmas anyhow.

Yes. It's a 2 wk adventure for me. I put the tree up with only lights on Thanksgiving weekend. Then in the evenings that week I let the kids "decorate the tree" with cheap balls and plastic ornaments. I let them touch it all they want that 1st week and get it all out of thier system. That next weekend I redecorated it the way I want it. Finally now, I have all the garland hung, all the lights, all the wreaths, it's completley Christmas now. I love it so I drag it out.

Bwahahahahaha!
I have been decorating everyone else's houses since before Thanksgiving.
I THOUGHT that maybe today I could just make a space in my living room for our tree, but a client just called and gave me a list of 6 more things she wants done today for a dinner party she is having tomorrow.
Yesterdays live tree was 10 ft tall has 4800 lights on it all placed by hand and all decorated.. It took 3 of us over 10 hours each to get her house finished.
A new decorator told me yesterday. "I think I am done decorating, thank goodness I set up my tree before Thanksgiving or I would just not put one up this year".. Poor dear. I think I burned her out.
My goal.. is to pull out our tree and at least set it up this weekend. I will take my time decorating it. Our daughter will not be home from College until the 22nd, so I have plenty of time.
So I know how you feel.. I want to be decorated, but just have not had the time.

Nope, I haven't started yet either. We're doing all of that this weekend (decorating, going to cut down a tree, etc.). The following weekend I'll do all of my baking & am taking the entire day off of work on the 22nd to wrap all of the gifts.

Put mine up Thanksgiving weekend - a nice small 4 foot fake tree. My 3.5 yr old helped put the ornaments on. Other decor? Well if my house were completely built, I'd have them up, but it's not, so I put most other decor back in the box.
GOOD LUCK!

Had our annual wreath making party last weekend and we've gotta have everything decorated for that so yes. Having an early holiday party is a great way to get the season going. The tree may be up but there's nothing but some lovely EMPTY boxes underneath it for now!

Of course! And we have 2 trees. But I cheat, they are both pre-lit AND pre-decorated!!! I also have all my xmas knick-knacks out and our yard is fully decorated with inflatables, lights on the bushes, santa in his sleigh with lighted reindeers. We have not hung lights on the house yet, maybe this weekend. =)

I wish! It's killing me that I don't have my decorations up and my tree in order! We had damage from past storms and we are in the process of laying our new floors down (Haven't started yet). Told my hubby like it or not if the floors aren't finished within the next week, we are decorating and we can work around the tree!
It's more for my son. They don't stay little forever and I want to be in the spirit for him.
Good luck to you!

We got our tree last Saturday and of course the kids were not going to let me go too long without decorating it, which was Sunday morning. :)
However, the other decorations are still in tubs in my living room.
We don't do outside decorations...but I still have outdoor toys that have since been snowed on sitting in my lawn. Maybe I will move those into the garage tonight....since the snow has melted.

YES, just got it up Monday (and thankfully, my 2 year old hasn't undecorated it yet!!)... I've started mailing out Christmas cards, and my husband put the outside lights up a little over a week ago. I probably would have held off on the tree a little bit longer, but I had already pulled the Christmas stuff up from the basement and I was sick of tripping over it!!
GOOD LUCK!!

Nope, nothing up except window clings and the children's nativity play set. I love Christmas and honestly hope to decorate soon. However, my husband, 3 kids and I caught this wicked cold last weekend so the only things "up" in our house are 2 little boys that can't sleep at night. I saw every hour on the clock last night while getting up with my sick toddler and haven't slept more than 2 hours in a row for 5-6 days now. So, no, our house isn't "beginning to look a lot like Christmas". Thanks for listing to my whining, though. I found the other responses encouraging and right down inspiring. Merry Christmas Everyone!

Our tree and ornaments are up and the nativity is also up. We don't have much space for anything else that my toddler cannot get to and destroy, so that will be it for this year. Our neighbor decorated our shared lawn and all 4 units carports. It looks great!
And- Good luck to you!

Yep! House is all decorated...well, ALMOST all decorated: the tree is a bit bare still. It's the kids' "job" to decorate the tree and they've been slammed with homework this week, so hopefully they'll have time over the weekend. But my Christmas village is up, everything is sparkly and bright and I LOVE IT!!!!!!!

Heck yes! We put it up and decorated inside the weekend after Thanksgiving. I have pulled out the boxes of outside lights, but my husband is out of the country and I am "scared" to deal with it alone. I finally got myself worked up to try it on my own (I'd like to surprise him when he comes home from the airport with the outside all festive and lit up, and our special dinner/dessert/punch, etc). But alas, it started raining 20 minutes ago...

My tree is not up yet. A few decorations are up, but the rest will eventually get out of the boxes. My twins celebrate their birthday next week. So... one step at a time for me. We leave our tree up until the first week of Jan. is over. So... it is always up for a long enough time.

Yes, we always put all Halloween decorations away on Nov 1st, Thanksgiving decor up the same day. Those go up the day after Thanksgiving and Xmas decor goes up the weekend after Thanksgiving. This is my own little quirkiness. I don't like holiday decor to stay up past it's prime. However, I know how overwhelming life is with kids and it is so hard for me to keep up with everything. So, if you are looking for advice, drink a big cup of coffee on Saturday morning and make it a mission to put up the outdoor toys (once and for all). Move that costume to a hanger in the back of a closet (until you have time to really deal with it) and pull you tree and such out. Putting everything away shouldn't take more than 15 minutes. Let your kids help with decorations (even though they will have 20 ornaments in 4 square inches of space). Make sure you are in a somewhat energetic mood and move fast. You'll get it done! :)

Playing catch up on my reading. I am a December birthday, so the tree goes up on my birthday a handful of days before Christmas...that is until the grandchild came along...now it goes up usually within the first 7-10 days of December. It does come down the first weekend of January...though my mom kept one up until February. But by this time it was fake, I with my kids took it down for my parents.
