wow some of you guys are married to big fellows! I know we all love our men no matter what shape they are in. I say it bothers me but really, it doesn't. I run and exercise so I know I'm in good shape but my husband is in great shape without even trying. Men! :)

Even when I weighed WAY less than my husband or boyfriends (sniff! Soooo long ago)... I was never skinnier.
Here's why:
I'm 6'1
I have 36" hip circumference (no 'boyfriend jeans for me!)
I have DDDDs
I have swimmers lungs. Even as a smoker of 10+ years, i still have 3x the lung capacity of most people. Even out of shape I can hold my breath 2.5 minutes.(in shape I can exercise for 2.5 minutes w no air). This translates to a big ribcage.)
Weighing only 120 (can see my hip sockets, super unhealthy for me, 170s is bikini weight)... I'm a size 9. Weighing 170 I'm also a size 9. That's me bone size.
So even bikini body, I've always been bigger than my boyfriends / exhusband.
My actual exhusband? He was 5'9 & a body builder, so about 210-240.
I've weighed more than 50lbs LESS and more than 50lbs MORE
But I was never skinnier than him.

Yep - I've know him for 25 years, we've been married for almost 20. He is 6' and has always weighed between 175-180 lbs. If he feels that he's getting a little gut (which I don't mind), he cuts out dessert for a week or two - viola! Extra weight gone. Hate him!!!! A few years ago, he took up a little running and promptly lost 25 lbs. He looked sick and I told him so. He admitted later that he didn't like the way he looked either and he was stopping at McDonald's on his way home most nights to down a milkshake to put the weight back on.
Me? I was maybe 180 when we met and I'm more than 100 lbs more than that now (ouch). My thyroid went crazy after I had my daughter 12 years ago and I'm just now trying to get a handle on it. Thankfully, my husband tells me I'm still sexy and he says he doesn't really see the extra weight. He's become pretty good at lying. And yes, I have been known to sneak some extra butter/cream into his food - lol. Oh, did I mention that when I'm on a diet, HE looses more weight than I do - without trying - just by eating a lighter dinner than usual. HATE HIM!!!!! Whenever I start a new eating plan, I tell him that I'll be watching him and if he so much as looses one pound, I'm not having sex with him. That usually gets him to go through the McD's drive thru on the way home at night.

My husband is a big guy - but I put on a lot of weight. I weigh more than he does right now, and it doesn't bother me at all. He doesn't make me feel one bit bad about it and I know he still loves me. I'm working on getting it off, in which case I might be skinnier than him, but that's not a focus for us at all.

Little bit but not too much. He is getting a belly though. The other day he was sticking it out and he was he was having a baby. My 4 yr old said no and then I asked her if he should. Then I asked where would the baby sleep. She said with me and I asked where would her baby brother sleep. She said she didn't know but she was going to sleep with us.
The worst part is he can lose weight by not eating much for 2 days or being really busy physically for a day. Ugh

No, thank goodness. I think he'd have to be near death.
It's not uncommon. Way back in beginning times, woman had to hold onto fat. It's the only way to conceive, carry, and nourish the babies. (Since there wasn't much food or span of life.) Men had to be more naturally lean, to hunt and gather, and be able to go distances on foot. It's just how we are biologically set up.

My husband is not skinnier than me. He does have a basketball body though... 6'2" , very lean, never gains weight.. He tries, all the time, I hate him for it also :) I "used" to never gain weight, and be able to eat everything and anything... That changed, now I work out extra hard, to be able to eat what I want... Blows, getting older :)

Thankfully the only time I've ever weighed more than my husband is when I'm third-trimester pregnant. He's very thin, though. He loses weight very quickly and actually has to make a conscious effort to gain weight when he gets too thin. I'm not naturally skinny like that, but I'm actually more physically fit than he is, so he's never outweighed a non-pregnant me even at his lowest weight. I hope my daughter has her father's metabolism; I know my son doesn't.

No, definitely not. I wouldn't want him to be. I like big guys, though. Also, I'm very skinny. I struggle to keep weight on and he struggles not to. He is at his thinnest right now because he's just recovering from several surgeries. He's really trying not to put it all back on, but he just can't seem to keep it off. Damn predisposed body types.

No, but he used to be, I lost like 35 lbs recently so now he's like 20 lbs heavier.
But yeah I've been working out for over a year every day to receive those results and he could lose that 20 in a month if he wanted. But I have had 3 children, one of which was born 2 months ago so I cut myself a little slack .

Yes! He has super high metabolism and couldn't put on an ounce of fat if he tried. He just becomes a little.. unmuscular looking when he doesn't work out.
I keep in shape but I have my curves you know. We have totally different body types. I get jealous too. Except when he has mood swings because his metabolism is so high, and when he needs to eat, it's like NOW. I guess it has it's pros and cons to be that naturally thin.

He kinda is now. I don't have numbers, but he has spent 3 months on the road driving a semi for his new job, and he's come home twice. He says he's dropped 3 holes on his belt and you can really see a difference in him. Apparently when you are forced to give up your 3 - 4 beers a night habit, you end up magically dropping weight! Who knew? Not to mention he was also trying to be more careful and was trying to get Subway instead of McDonald's. He still weighs more, but that's more from being, well, a man. He's more muscular and also 3 inches taller than me.
Yeah, makes me jealous - I don't even drink beer in the first place! But he looks good, and it makes me think that there are other ways I can make more effort too.

Oh yes is mine EVER! He's like 5'6" or 5'7" & weighs a whopping 130lbs...which IS normal for his build but it really irks me that I weigh a LOT more than I should & takes me forever to lose even a pound & he literally eats like 4 times more at one sitting than anyone I've seen eat but loses weight! I can barely eat a half a sandwhich & I'm stuffed but never lose anything. I constantly watch what I eat & try to eat healthy, I'll lose a pound or two then gain it RIGHT back the next day, or more. His general consensus on the matter is that he just 'has' to have fatting, sugary, high calorie/high carb meals ALL the time....b/c that's what 'he' wants, not what he 'needs'. It's extremely irritating b/c I try to make us healthy meals & he goes & ruins it by shopping on the way home & brings home sweets or pasta dishes or chicken spaghetti fixings or fajita fixings or he wants pancakes & waffles w/bisquits, eggs, sausages, the whole 'big boy breakfast'...for dinner! knowing forwell I cannot eat this stuff. If he gets a can of bisquits, it's not the small can w/like 5 in it...oh no, it's the BIG can w/8! Um who is gonna eat all those?? There's only the two of us. His excuse?? "It was cheaper." He gets so ticked at ME b/c I get adament about what we need to eat & it's not what he wants. I just smell food & gain weight! Like you said in your post, my husband can blink & lose weight too but I do feel a lot of the time that he really doesn't regard my needs or my health at all, as long as he gets what he wants, he's happy. Men, just can't please them lol.

Yes. It is a bit annoying. He's tall and lean, I'm short and fluffy.
He'll be like "Hey---I need to lose 7 pounds before this insurance exam"....and in 3 days, he's there. Like, he just needed to "decide" to drop the pounds and they leave. He eats the same food I do: we eat breakfast together, I pack his lunch (same as ours), and we eat dinner together. But his metabolism is GREAT. (If he catches a cold, he'll lose weight from just laying around and eating chicken noodle soup....if I catch a cold, I'll NOT lose weight from soup....and even get a little worried because I'm laying around and need to exercise "or else").
On the other hand, he's got naturally high cholesterol and my numbers are perfect.

I am in the same boat and it has just happened recently. I've put on quite a bit of weight since our last baby and have been trying to find time to work out or do some kind of diet. I've even cut back on the amount of food I eat. He did the same thing and has lost 20lbs. I've lost 1. He now weighs less than me which is a little on the depressing side and it seems no matter what I do the weight doesn't come off. I hate it. Any suggestions for someone with low budget and no time other than make time?

My husband and I are both doing a 24-Day Weight Loss Challenge with AdvoCare. After 10 days, he lost 9 lbs. and I lost 4 1/2. What is it with the men's make-up? The good thing is that I have lost 2" on EACH of my thighs at the widest point. (Most people don't know why I am doing this as I don't have a lot of weight to lose. They just haven't seen me in a bikini...)
Anyway, men sure can lose weight faster and easier than us, but they can't carry a baby, give birth, or nurse ... so there! Hee hee
