so, it is weird... my blood pressure is fine, no other issues so far in this pregnancy.. I'm at 22 weeks. but, the bottoms of my feet get soooo itchy, particularly in the evenings. they are not swollen... neither are my ankles. i slather them with lotion, elevate them... sometimes I soak them in hot water and scrub them with a loofah... sometimes this helps, sometimes, I'm just rubbing me feet together trying to itch them.

anyone have any rememdies for this? anyone also experienced this? my doc says its just hormones... so what? i guess I just enjoy this for the next 18 weeks?

I didn't have this with my first pregnancy...

What can I do next?

I had the same problem during my last preg. which was 11 years ago...lol. But I remember it driving me nuts. It was the top of my feet. I would itch them on the carpet till I had rug burn or they bled...I know..gross...but I couldn't help it. Unfortunatly...I do not have a cure for you. I personally think it had to do with circulation...because it seemed so much worse if I had been on my feet a lot that day...so I tried to keep my feet up at much as possible. Sorry I can't be of more help.

Best Wishes!!!

I had really itchy feet with both of my pregnancies. You should see your doctor about this if it doesn't resolve because it could be a serious condition called cholestasis of pregnancy. I had that with both pregnancies and it is a VERY miserable itch. So, please get it checked out and update. Have your OB check your liver enzymes and bile acid levels. There is a medication that you can take if it is Cholestasis of pregnancy that will help with the itching.

Good luck!

Could be something new that you are eating. Do you take your prenatal vitamins in the night. They might be made differently than the last ones you took. And i know that we seem to snack in the night time and maybe it is something new that you don't usually eat. Well i hope this helped. Good luck and god bless

I had no itchy problems with my first pregnancy, but my legs drove me NUTS with my second. The only thing that helped was to put on baby oil the second I dried off after the shower. The oil sealed in the moisture from the shower. I had a friend tell me to use olive oil. I thought that was a little weird, and very expensive, so I adapted it to baby oil.
I thought it was strange that it worked, because I put lotion on them all the time before, and it didn't help at all. Lotion just doesn't cut it!
One night they woke me up and I was desperate, so I grabbed some tiny samples of Elidel that my ped had given my son. It's a prescription for psoriasis. It worked instantly, but then I suddenly freaked out that it wasn't okay during pregnancy. I read the warnings and it said not to use it while pregnant. I don't think one application did any damage, but I was very disappointed that I couldn't use my cure!
