When I was in college, I worked at Jenny Craig.
It was a nice place to work and the clients were pleased with their service and results.
Many of the clients, were also there because their Physician referred them to us, to lose weight for a variety of health reasons.
Jenny Craig, has/had many different types of "menus" as well as various vegetarian and breastfeeding and low-sodium menus. And the food, is good. I liked it as well as the clients.
The program, at that time, consisted of the client coming in once a week, and weighing in and also sitting down with the weight loss Consultant to talk about their problems. Each person having different weight issues etc.
And the Clients were also taught how to cook, how to shop, etc.
This is how it was, at the center I, worked at.
I don't know how it is now, currently.
But they do have an online site, and perhaps online servicing, foods etc.
As I said, I used to work there and the program worked for many.
We had just regular folks as well as well known/famous people as clients, at the center I worked at.
How and if it works, also of course, depends on IF the client... does what they are supposed to do or not. If you don't or can't follow a program, it will not work. No matter what that program is. AND, even once you lose weight, you NEED TO, maintain a healthy lifestyle. Afterwards.
Some people DO continue healthy eating and exercise, but some do not... therefore, after they lose the weight, they gain it back because they go back to their previous bad habits and eating.
No program is a miracle.
It takes, MAINTAINING it and actually wanting to, and keeping to eating healthily and exercising.
Jenny Craig, when I worked there, always taught the clients, that this is a lifestyle, change. Meaning, learning to eat healthily and exercising. Daily. So we educated the clients about that.
