Mr. Clean... the bright yellow/green stuff... it works awesome. Just drop in a let soak off. Do not do this with pearls or opals. Chemicals have a tendency to eat those types of stones.
I'm looking for a jewelry cleaner to have at home for earrings and wedding ring. Any recommendations out there?

Belive it or not I use vodka! No joke, It doesnt matter if It's cheap or expensive and My diamonds shine better than any cleaner I have ever bought. Plus I heard about it from my jewler. Try it out and see for yourself.
My jeweler told me dish soap and a toothbrush. :)
Any Target or Wal-Mart or even a nice jewelry story carries a little plastic container filled with the correct cleaning solution for gems and gold. Inside is a little basket to place your rings and it comes with a little brush.
There are also great cleaning cloths especially designed for silver. They are so nice I have given them away as Christmas gifts to my girlfriends who wear a lot of silver.
When I travel, I use a good ol' toothbrush and very small amount of toothpaste and lots of water for rinsing. Everything sparkles.
I just use an old toothbrush and basic hand soap - works like a charm for me
There is a silver jewelry cleaner that works really good. You line a pan with foil then put 2 cups water, a teaspoon each of salt, dish soap and baking soda. Bring to boil, drop in jewelry remove from heat and let sit for 5 minutes. Rinse in a strainer, and dry. It brings out the shine and removes tarnish.
I would like to know if the Vodka works. Never heard of that before. I always got Vodka!!
Blessings!

The lady at Tiffany's told my husband I could clean my rings, by soaking them in a mixture of mild dish soap and water. (Something chemical free. I use seventh generation.) That is for platinum and golds, I'm not sure about silver. Zales also sales a little jar of jewelry cleaner, that works very well.
toothbrush and dish soap or toothpaste here. Works like a charm.
